The US version is the best comedy show I've seen for many years.

I love this show as much as the next fan, but what is there really to be gained by it being available on Blu-Ray over SD-DVD?

So you're putting down Extras for lack of originality, but defending the US Office. A REMAKE!

Em.... has anyone seen Stromberg? It's the German version of Office and is great. I kind of have something against the American one for some reason.

I'm british and I think American tv is far superior to the crap that the UK gets...however, UK office still owns the US version. Gervais is way better than Carrell.

Considering the fact that I think the DVD's look pretty great, I personally, wouldn't upgrade to Blu-ray in this case...and this is pretty much my favorite show. lol.

they are both good, both very different styles of humor,

except the office season 2 UK was really ...odd, kinda got a little to serious at times.

Isnt Gervais a producer on the US version? He's said in many interviews how much he loves the US version, and how even he think Carrell is an absolute genius.

And MANY fans of the UK have come to admit how the US version has evolved into it's own entity, and absolutely love it. Those UK fans who havent checked it out yet, absolutely should.

And to stay on topic, i would absolutely buy this show on Blu day 1.

I have to agree, I normally don't defend upconversion, but for the TV series, the sounds doesn't matter as much to me either... I would buy any new ones on blu, but wouldn't bother with re-buying any. Definitely my favorite too.

I'm waiting for them on blu, they play them on TBS HD all the time. Great show, one of the few I make a point to watch. I haven't seen the UK version, I refuse to blind buy it, will have to find it for rent.

Yeah, I mean, if they released the newer ones like say Season 4 (haven't bought it yet), I'd buy it on Blu, but honestly, I'd be happy with the DVD set as well.

Great avvy man, I use that for my IM avatar at work. lol.
