I am sure that we will get plenty of-

James Cameron: The unnamed planetoid harboring the alien derelict ship, later named LV-426, was in fact a moon of a ringed gas giant, which was occasionally glimpsed in the sky in ALIEN. The gas giant does not appear in ALIENS because the exterior scenes on LV-426 have an unbroken cloud cover or overcast, and the space scenes are handled in a cursory manner, advancing the story without dwelling on the wonders of interstellar travel, which so many other films have done so well, as their primary reason d'etre.

James Cameron further explains:

You might say we approached LV-426 from the other direction, and the ringed gas giant companion was out of frame. (James Cameron online)

The next trailer for this film really needs to sell it to the general public, as i showed a number of friends the present trailer at the Uni today and the general response was 'Okay so, what the hell is that about? They just saw a bunch of sci-fi horror stuff, with a vague acknowledgement of Ridley Scott and nothing at all that connected it to the Alien universe. I hope the trailer on the 18th explains the basic narrative of the film a lot better. Fanboys are not enough for this film to succeed on it's own.

But that's how you sell stuff nowadays, you get people to think about what it is, and then you reveal what it's about

Looks to me like Fox are re-doing their Avatar campaign to some extent. A comic-con presentation to kick things off and reveal the very first footage. The first trailer for Avatar looked very similar to the one for Prometheus - no dialogue, all images to get you hooked. The new trailer arriving this weekend, will most likely reveal more plot details and contain actual dialogue from Prometheus.

I thought they were doing something a bit more similar to Inception, with footage people tried to make sense out of, but wasn't anywhere close, and then the final trailer revealed the plot

Charlize Theron promoting the new trailer:

Charlize and Lidelof comment about the 3D in Prometheus and the effect of using sets rather than CGI. makes me think that image of the landed ship may actually be a set rather than CGI. What do you think?

I would have to guess that it would just be similar to the way that he filmed A L I E N-

[Show spoiler]

Partially built sets such as the Nostromo's landing gear and air-lock lift. I find it hard to believe that they built the whole Prometheus ship since the studio would have balked at its expense compared to doing some of it in CG. Heck, in the original 1977 Star Wars, they only built about half of the Millennium Falcon's full scale set.

And I still cannot believe how smoking HOT Charlize is!

I am unable to view the spoiler you posted. Was it this, which appears to be part of the inside of the drop ship? http://www.prometheusmovienews.com/2...re-set-photos/

No, it was a screencap from ALIEN showing the set underneath the Nostromo-

I can see so much disappointment coming. This movie and trailer has been hyped up so much and the wraith of god might just descend upon it, if it doesn't live up to the massively high expectations it has garnered
