Did UK Tintin either 2d or 3d come with a slip ? Have seen none on copies instore. Seems odd for such a major title no exclusive packaging.

Nope, disappointingly no slip for Tintin.

I have noticed a few this week while I've been out and about:

- Tower Heist
- Trespass (pretty nice shiny one)
- Moneyball (as mentioned)
- Sket (one of the annoying momentum half slips)

Anonymous comes with a slip too, all sealed up like Moon, Karate Kid and other Sony releases.

Wasn't a re-release - both versions were available from Day 1.

Moneyball can also be found packaged with a copy of the Michael Lewis book in HMV - the blu still has its slip, but there's also an extra data sheet surrounding both items.

Another new slip this week (and my candidate for "UK slip of the week" if such a thing could exist):
  • Weekend - a rarely released slim (US width) amaray slipcase with a single image that wraps around both spines and the cover.

If you see it, check it out.

Thanks, good to know. I'm finally working on the list again.

Anyone know if Dracula: Prince Of Darkness had a slip? I know Quatermass did, I'm just wondering whether or not to pick them both up.

Not 100% but I think Dracula may be recalled (or has been) due to audio problems.

Spotted Trespass (which looks nice) today in ASDA, with a couple more already mentioned. Also if you're into DVD lenticular covers they seem to have a few Coraline and 9 were both a fiver.

I also spotted that Breaking Dawn now has a revised cover were it doesn't mention the missing extras (still naked though).

Thanks for that.

I've also seen some awful-looking horror film called Urban Explorers with a cool looking lenticular slip it doesn't deserve.

Just wanted to bump this for two reasons. 1) In case aequalszero missed it, since it was the last post on the previous page, and 2) To update that it is still holding together strong, and even survived a move from one apartment to another.

Good bump & good news... I tell you if I were a hardcore SB collector~ Example: I'd be happy to throw the (UK) Drive Slipcover over that Drive SB!

However films like my (FR) Bangkok Dangerous SB, the Slipcover is the exact same & (FR) again has the only Bangkok Dangerous Slipcover & thats a huge fit issue, the 14mm sized (UK) cases make for ideal slipcovers for SB's! I still tend to grab SB's where there are no Slipcovers only.. In a rare case where I like the SB art better than a Slipcover, I'll get the SB instead... I've been debating that for Zombieland~ I love the (FR) Z-Land Slipcover, but think the SB looks great too! I'm kinda up in the air on that....

Still.... I have a plan

Almost three years old? I'd say the chances are slim. But if you're in the UK there are a few on eBay and it's a pretty regular feature there (including auctions just for the slip).

I've seen that slip - didn't think it was lenticular though?

I didn't miss it mate, I just don't think I took in the full extent of what you'd done the first time I read it. That's a pretty brave move you've taken there slicing your slips open, although it's good to know that everything is holding together afterwards!

I dare not get into this 'slips for steels' business as it can be hard enough finding one or the other! Good luck on your hunt for a UK D9 slip, though - I'll keep an eye out myself for you.

I double-checked in an HMV last week - it isn't unfortunately.

Outside of the new releases last week, there was one notable catalogue title that got a slip: Monty Python & The Holy Grail

I'm interested in your RoboCop Triology slipcover. It is for bluray or DVD? Would like to see a photo. Message me

Did the re-release of The Thing ever ship with a slip from HMV.com?

Even if it did, they're probably gone now. Stores had them for sure.

That's tempting me even more now.

I just ordered Once Upon A Time In The West, but I'm not confident I'll get a slip with it!
