Since it does not have a built in PAL->NTSC converter, being Region Free will not help you much if your player cannot access PAL content. A majority of Region B locked films have PAL content. I personally own the Oppo BDP83 and cannot say enough good things about it. It is the best Region Free player on the market, aside from maybe the new Oppo's (BDP93, BDP95).
