I emailed StudioCanal about whether the movies will be widescreen, and if the Pikachu shorts would be included. This was their response:

Pokemon 4ever and Heroes included a Pikachu short and both releases will be in 1.85:1 widescreen.

So looks like these Blu-Ray releases will offer a major advantage (Pikachu shorts) over the previous USA releases.

yeah lets hope but I think they take a few weeks. Still a while before it comes out so just have to keeping hoping! If not I'll definitely be complaining!

I am sorry to say that Amazon has got it Wong because somebodey sent a e-mail to StudioCanal and they reply saying


Thank you for your email. Amazon have incorrectly listed the title as a Blu-Ray. Pokemon Destiny Deoxys will be released on DVD on the 2nd April. Additionally, Pokemon Forever & Heroes will be released together as a Blu-Ray, also on the 2nd April.

You know, I kind of wondered about that. Because I noticed Play had it as DVD and I knew that it hadn't even been released on DVD here yet even though its a old film. Ahwell, if Amazon still give me it for £3.97 im happy with that!

Is this the Pikachu Short that was never released on Pokemon 4 Ever or was it Heroes? I remember that one of the films didn't have it.

yeah I noticed that although Amazon had it as "[Blu-ray]" but now it says "[DVD] [Blu-ray]" so I reckon it will be DVD especially when Studio Canal confirmed it. Either way still a great price considering new Pokemon movies when they come out on DVD they are usually in and around the £8 mark

Yeah it's just DVD because I asked Studio Canal and they said its not comeing out on blu ray

I tried updating the product information for Pokemon: Destiny Deoxys [Blu-ray] to DVD only, based on the artwork displayed (which is clearly for a DVD). But Amazon UK changed it to Pokemon: Destiny Deoxys [DVD] [Blu-ray], rather than to DVD only.

Amazon can be real dicks when it comes to correcting their mistakes. There are errors throughout their catalog but they never listen to reason.

Amazon has changed it and they said they havent got Pokemon Forever & Heroes yet it comes 3rd April

Pokemon Forever & Heroes is available for pre-order (they state the 2nd), they sent me an email asking if I'd like it. The email mentioned that Destiny Deoxys was [DVD][Blu-ray]!

I'm a bit disappointed that Destiny will turn out to be a DVD but it's a decent price for it I guess.
