I have a Samsung 1080p DLP and it looks amazing. Viewing angles are good, not great. Vertical angle is a bigger issue than side angles. Since you will be sitting 99% of the time in front of your TV than the image and clarity of a DLP is near perfect. Blu-ray movies and video games look fantastic on my DLP. Plus, no burn in issues for my games. If you don't plan to mount a TV to a wall than you have no reason not to own a DLP.
