While their store displays may say "we support Blu-ray," I wonder how they plan on getting their HD DVD-zealot employees to do the same. A little training wouldn't heard . . . but at Best Buy that seems VERBOTEN!

Tomorrow is my B-Day and this couldn't have been a better gift. Two big blows in one day to HD-Dud. This is getting better and better.

I work there part time and have been promoting Blu-ray over HD DVD for months. Remember the Blu-ray Certified pin I got in the mail? I wear it everyday I work.

Expect all of the events to accelerate. Toshiba has nothing left to stand on.

Could it be the week?

Monday: Netflix goes Blu exclu, Best Buy goes Blu prefered
Tuesday: Walmart and Target both drop HD DVD.
Wednesday: Blockbuster, in an effort to streamline its stocks, goes Blu exclusive for mail orders as well.
Thursday: Circuit City drops HD DVD, and CanalStudio anounces Blu Ray exclu
Friday 4:45pm Est - Toshiba sends a memo to Reuters: Toshiba to stop producing new HD DVD-only hardware, and "has plan for combo player by Q4 2008".
Friday 4:55pm Est - Paramount and Uni send both a pres release "Given circumstances, we now fully support Blu Ray and will progressively re-issue all our exisitng HD DVD catalogue on Blu Ray. All new releases will be Blu Ray exclusively".

One can only hope (dream? )
