Well, we already have Wylie's interpretation of Jobs.. we really don't need another. If anyone wants that, they can just watch the previous films.

You mean for changing and saving the music industry, as well as computers and inventing the smartphones half the planet uses? Yeah let's hate him for being a visionary.

But let's make more needless Batman movies. Oh, and more Kill Bills, and any amount of other junk.

Jobs never invented anything. The first Apple computer was designed by Steve Wozniak by himself while Steve Jobs went on a "spiritual trip" around India and it was Jonathan Ive that actually conceptualized and designed the iMac, titanium and aluminum PowerBook G4, PowerMac G4, PowerMac G5, G4 Cube, iBook, Mac Pro, MacBook, unibody MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iPod, iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad that transformed Apple into the company today that is the leader of smartphones and tablets. Sure Steve Jobs saved the company but don't give him too much credit.

If you think Jobs didn't have a hand in the products his company sold, you're sorely mistaken. any fo the ideas that went into his products came form his ideas; other technicians implemented them.

And you say "saving the company" like that's such an easy task... no other company has changed the face of technology in the past 20 years like Apple, and that's a credit to Jobs. if anything, Jobs isn't given enough credit. Not to mention his involvement in creating Pixar when no one else was interested in computer animation. Tech is one thing; vision is something very few people have.

I do believe blackberry was the first smartphone on the market.

I had a friend once who practically lived in an Apple store. He had a perfectly good Iphone. Went to buy the new one, i said why? he said Because.

My sister in law loves Apple. I said why do you need an Iphone. She said because. I said You'll only need to buy a new one next year with some stupid upgrade. She didn't care.

Whatever happened to people buying stuff and being happy with it and not being forced to buy something new every year.
I had another discussion with someone about this and i used the word con-artist. They agreed with me.

And yes, i'd love another Kill Bill.

Complaining that Apple will release a new upgraded product annually is pointless. Nearly all manufacturers have annual upgrades to their product lines and release them in schedules that end up having new products targeting different demographics from a particular brand that's closer to every 6 months. And you can thank Apple's brilliant marketing and the fan base for creating launches of their new products such a big event. No one is being forced to buy any products every year I'm still with my iPhone 4 and only intend to upgrade my phone and tablet every 2 years when the big leaps in technology are made with transistor die shrinks.

I buy Apple products precisely because you don't have to upgrade every year. I kept my Mac Tower for around seven years and when I finally got rid of it, it was still working perfectly, it just wasn't powerful enough to edit video or very large Photoshop files efficiently. My current Mac laptop is three years old and is as good as the day I bought it (actually better, because I just upgraded the hard drive to 750GB). And I'm still using an iPhone 3G, waiting for the iPhone 5 to be released. I've never been able to get a PC laptop to last more than two years at places where I've worked. All kinds of companies release new models every year, such as car companies, some of whom have already "released" their 2013 models. Now that's a con. That doesn't mean they expect everyone to upgrade. It's not Apple who is perpetuating the con, it's idiots who feel that they have to have the latest thing. No one is forcing anybody to buy anything. It's no worse than people on here who double and triple dip when stuff is re-released.

By a strange twist of fate, I bought one of the LAST PowerPC iMacs in 2006, one month before they went Intel.
It's still serving me nicely, except for the fact that I can't upgrade to 10.6.x, can't use any number of programs made for Intel Macs, and can't use an iPad to any useful extent. But it's still in working condition, and I hope to afford a new one by '15.

There are some who "have" to upgrade the minute the new iPhone comes out, there are those who are only just now jumping on (the iPad Mini should be 3rd generation by the time I can get one), and then there are those who realize that something's always different when the new models come out.
One could never quite say that about Windows, at least in a good sense.
