HMV have a Pre order up now.

Also there's a 20% off code (H8BLU20 Ends Monday June 11th) for any Blu-ray on the site. Takes the price down to £12.79

But it's only 1 Disc according to HMV Twitter, so no 3D for us yet again! Sticking to the German steel since it includes the 3D copy. Might get this one too since it's only £12.79.

Yeah, Disney always screw us over in the UK, their UK steelbooks have been pretty poor too, so I'm really unsure about this one.

I might just keep the German.

So as things stand, seems like this will be the only steelbook in the UK but if exclusive i don't get why it's not the triple play version like Captain America and Thor since those were.

I'm hoping that closer to release this gets cleared up but hot damn if that isn't a good pre-order price. After monday though, back to regular and maybe more. These are all introductory prices i guess and the codes timed.

Anybody else noticed that forum threads are suddenly missing posts from the last few months? The steelbook deal thread a case in point.

Yes,

But the other Steels were Paramount releases. These will be Disney. And they have been terrible with their UK steelbook releases. Even their animation releases are worse here than the US version.

But that's a small problem compared to what was actually lost. So much more has been lost for members

Disney...Thor and Captain America were both triple play steelbooks and they are awesome...you would think disney would want to keep that going just to match up with the Paramount release.

Disney are one of the studios you almost always expect a 5* PQ & AQ from but i think the fact they seem to be short changing this steelbook in the UK is not nice at all. They're like mentioned not exactly known for giving us steelbooks over here so to do this is a bit of a kick in the teeth.

This my US and foreign brethern is why we felt we needed to gloat with some of the exclusive steelbooks we got recently lol

I'd have loved the Disney steelbooks being released here.

Yeah, if we look at Disneys UK steelbook releases they have all been poor to average.

Loads of text all over the back BBFC ratings on the steel. And most importantly extra discs being left out!

Special features disc from Cars 2 for example. The Incredibles missing an entire extras disc. Lossy audio being put on EU BDs whilst the US versions get HD Audio.

They have just been getting worse, just ask anyone in the UK Disney thread

Oh, I couldn't agree with you more....their complex is backed up by excellent quality disc releases, but the picking and choosing of who gets what worldwide is a bit old school and tacky....just my opinion anyways. I wish the SB's would be released here as well, but if I feel the need to make it a 3 disc set....I have an extra Ghost Rider SB i can switch out for....I wondered why I kept an extra case around....

if the war horse steelbook is anything to go by, this could be a horrific 'busy' steelbook with no rear artwork and printed age ratings plus blu ray banner on the front not to mention its only 1 disc with no 3d version!
