Question Halloween 4 / Halloween 5 ~ Blu-rays 8/21/12 - Reviews

Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers Blu-ray

Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers Blu-ray Review

Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers Blu-ray

Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers Blu-ray Review

In an early alert to retailers Anchor Bay (a Starz company) has made public their plans to bring the two sequels “Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers” from 1988 and “Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers” from 1989 to Blu-ray Disc on August 21st. The two films both starred Donald Pleasence, Danielle Harris, Ellie Cornell and Beau Starr. Both titles are already available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon with each carrying a $17.49 price tag. No info yet regarding tech specs or bonus materials on the releases but stay tuned.

Just in case ya wanna get it merged with the previous old thread (10 pages), here's the link. It has none of the new info regarding the releases, as it was all lost.

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=182765

Anyhow, looking forward to these and am curious to see how good they look and such.

That is a steep price considering other companties such as Warner offer A Nightmare on Elm St 2 & 3 in a two pack on Amazon for $10. I guess it really depends on what is on the discs. With Halloween 2 & 3 I have been arching my old Goodtimes DVDs for years. I never got the Universal discs because I have never been given a reason to uphrase. Shout has finally given justification to rebuy those films. Let's see how much justification AB can offer to rebuy Halloween 4 & 5.

The release date is still months away. Amazon pre-orders almost ALWAYS come down before release day. I would expect the final price to be around $10-$14, but we'll have to wait and see.

Probably will buy :P
I'm going to buy them too, but not for $17.49 a piece! I'll wait for their prices to drop. We've waited this long for these releases, so a few more weeks afterwards won't matter to me.

Already pre-ordered from Amazon. There's no way I'm missing out on the opportunity to complete my Michael Myers Halloween collection on Blu-ray. After these, I'll have 1, 2, 4, 5, the Triple Feature release from Alliance, and Rob Zombie's Halloween and Halloween II. I am so, so happy.

People were talking about a potential two-pack. I would certainly prefer that. I would pay 20 bucks for it. If I can't get catalog titles for under 10, I'm holding off.

I agree about these prices being a little much for something like Halloween 4 adn 5. I think I'll only jump on 4. I also hope those shout factory 2 and 3's drop to a price range like these too. But 4 I'll for sure buy. I really only enjoy the first 4 Halloweens.

Deep Discount has them for 16 each, but they don't have the pre-order guarantee, and I have had problems pre-ordering from them myself (though the circumstances behind the problems were pretty different as the entire production of these disks were cancelled).

I can't wait for these 3 final HalloweeN Blu's. I think I'll actually marathon them during the Halloween season as well.

i have all 4 upcoming halloween bd's on predorder. I'm stoked that all of them will be on blu-ray. We are pretty lucky considering the lack of releases on the other horror franchises (F13, NOES, ect.). One of the first things I wondered when going blu was if the whole series would make it to bd. I assumed it would take many years, but we got them pretty quickly. This'll be the first Halloween where my marathon will be completely HD
