Deci / Iceman,
The import feature is a semi-useful tool in helping to expedite re-adding members collections. However, there are a couple of things I've always found to be a bit of a pain. I was wondering if it would be possible to implement these features to help users restore their collections as quickly, effortlessly, and painlessly as possible. 1) Display which UPCs were not found during the import preview. I've noticed the movie database at times drops a leading 0 from the UPC number. A title may be listed in the DB but a match isn't found because of the missing 0. 2) On the import preview section have checkboxes so the user can check which "found" titles to import. Some titles have multiple listings for the same UPC. In some cases, there may be the regular release, several store exclusive releases, and the Canadian release with the same UPC (I've seen up to 4 releases at times for a given UPC). Currently the import feature adds all of the titles and then the user must painstakenly wad through their entire collection to delete all of the bad entries. In addition, a clear all or select all option for the checkboxes would also be beneficial. Thanks for considering these improvements. |

Could I suggest an imrpovement to the synopsis text box for new database entries? I would like it if a release's synopsis displays in the database exactly the way we typed it. For example, if we have a space between paragraphs, it keeps the space for the entry.

Can we possibly get an export option for our collections? Exporting to excel or another format that we could easily import back in, come another unforeseen event would not only be a great backup for ourselves, but could save you guys a lot of the headaches I'm sure you're getting restoring the collections right now

The image on the theatrical listing for From Up on Poppy Hill incorrectly displays key art from Spirited Away.

That works for now and I see that it even shows titles that could not be exported. That helps identify titles which have no UPC/EAN data in the profile.
In addition I can take that UPC list, filter out all the UPCs which match to my offline collection, and then add the UPCs which are missing from my Blu-ray.com database. |
