Pocahontas is now set for August 21st in Disney's official site, the only title that has a different release date is The Aristocats which still is "set" for August 28.

No, Disney has the date incorrect, all titles are going to be released on August 21st, is a matter of time that they change the date for The Aristocats.

Beauty and the Beast - 24057 kbps
Sleeping Beauty - 24059 kbps
Pinocchio - 28421 kbps
Bambi - 23959 kbps
Just had a look at the BDInfo for Fox and the Hound and the US double film release actually has a higher bitrate for the first film than the UK stand alone release.

Guess those extra language tracks and the fact its on a BD25 forced them to reduce the bitrate, wish I had not sold my US release now

You're right. That must be a first and it doesn't even make sense. I'm wondering if Poca uses a different bitrate as well

I hope Disney updates its official BD site soon so we can know more details about the upcoming release of The Rescuers/The Rescuers Down Under. So far the only title we know it'll have a new digital transfer is The Aristocats so I really want to know if Disney did the same for The Reascuers because if they use the old DVD master, it will have awful results.

So of all the Blu-Rays releasing this year, I'm for-sure getting the following:

Treasure Planet
Adventures in Babysitting
The Aristocats
The Rescuers
Pocahontas
Hocus Pocus
Cinderella
Brother Bear

I'll get Sister Act later and maybe Home on the Range.

It drives me nuts that I missed out on Snow White and Pinocchio Those two came out under the Platinum line so my hope for them in the future is to come out in Diamond Edition. I swear someone edited the wikipedia page and said those two would come out as 3D Diamond Editions lol. Too good to be true. I also missed out on Fantasia. Sigh.

To be honest I never took the "Disney Vault" seriously back in the DVD days until I realized how hard they are to find or purchase.

You're on the web man, use it!!
Pinocchio is not part of the Diamond line anymore so it's getting re-released (in a 1 disc edition). look above for the 2-disc edition
Fantasia/2000 are not that hard to find

Snow White was released as a Diamond edition (the first one for that matter) so the chances that it will get a re-release as a Diamond edition are non existent.

How about the chances that Disney will pull a "Beast" with Aladdin, and one year after its initial Blu-ray release, they'll release a 3D version? Flying through the cave and "A Whole New World" would be amazing in -- wait for it -- a whole new dimension.

I don't recall Disney has announced their 3D conversions for 2014 yet, so... One can hope...

I believe they are waiting to see if the rest of the conversions will be profitable. Then they have an already-converted film (Ratatouille) waiting for a release and then Aladdin seems the most obvious choice.
