Welcome back bluman.

The system and room are looking fine as ever. The Golden Ears Tritons II's are amazing. I had a chance to hear them at one of the local retailers. The rep was just raving about them and in his opinion how under priced they are when compared to the higher priced offerings in the store. I had to agree with him. I only wish there was more emphasis on the surround package. The matching center and surround channels, because of their smaller size they just don't seem to be adequate and up to the level of the Tritons.

Regardless, you have a fine setup.

Glad to see you have your thread back up and running. Thank you for allowing me to come over today and hear your system. The GEs are very excellent sounding speakers. They are perfect for your sized room. Music and movies sound quite enveloping. I know after I left you re-ran ARC and I am looking forward to seeing the newest graphs. Glad I was able to give some guidance on how we can make it sound even better. I hope there is an open invitation to come back over there to hear them again. I am also looking forward to next weekend when we can GTG over at my place.

Love the set up, I have my Triton's set up the way the manual says to. Do you find the LFE better for bass?

Thanks, Yes, I do.. I feel like for movie soundtracks I was missing the .1 I started off using just speaker wire the first couple months I had them then experimented with using the lfe. There is more bass. I spoke to John from GE and he told me the only reason they recommend just using speaker wire is for simplicity.

You were suppose to call me and give me an assessment on how it sounded after the re-calibration but I'm willing to read your take on if it sounds better here. Start typing son.

Lol I think it definitely sounds better. I think everything is in sync much better. The hvac fan had to of been throwing off the distances and such. Oh and the subs still have the peaks I read the wrong speaker when I called you before. But it set the level to 0. It set the Tritons to 10ft, center to 8ft, surrounds to 8ft and sub to 12ft.

Well I'm sure you will be able to upload the graphs eventually and I'll take another look. Bottom line... it sounds better and everything is in better sync. That's all that matters. To tame the sub we might need bass traps or an external EQ. Do you still notice the long delay on the subs like we talked about or does the bass sound a little tighter after redoing ARC?

I think the bass is a little tighter. Wouldn't say night and day better but a little better.

You need to save the file as something else beside .ARC I can not open it and probably why you are having problems uploading it. Can you save it as a jpg file or something similar?

Ok Josh I got it. Bring up the graphs on your screen. In window 7 open the snipping tool. Select new then Hold the left button down and surround the picture of the graph and save the file as a png

Use Paint. That's how I used to upload my ARC graphs to this site.
