The 3D is stronger during the action scenes, and flatter during dialog from what I've seen, as they felt the dialog scenes weren't important enough to be great in 3D, is one way of putting it to be blunt. It still looks good overall from the trailers.

Hugo 3D didn't care if it was a dialog scene or not, everything deserved great 3D, as it should be. After all, 3D in our eye sight doesn't care if it's an emotional action scene or just a boring moment staring at a wall. It's all equally consistent 3D.

I'm still glad they filmed this in 3D, so that's a good thing.

Even with the different depth adjustments according to a scene per scene basis, I still think the 3D is going to be great the preferred viewing format(then again anything that has a 3D versions is always preferred to view in 3D for me :P)
