According to Jon Krawczynski of the Associated Press Percy Harvin has requested a trade from the Vikings. Harvin said yesterday that he is unhappy with the team but wouldn't specify the reason. It likely has to do with his contract, which has 2 years remaining and is due to pay him $915,000 this year and $1.55 million in 2013, and it could also have to do with his playing time. According to Rotoworld Harvin played in 58% of the Vikings offensive snaps last season. Harvin is coming off his best season with 87 receptions and 967 receiving yards as well as 342 rushing yards and 9 total touchdowns. It doesn't sound like the Vikings are willing to give Harvin a new contract because they have concerns about his durability, although he's only missed 3 games in his career and played every game last year, so a training camp holdout is a possibility.

lol you'd think it would be easy throw these guys some free money, then load it up with cash for meeting reasonable playing time and numbers, and if he fails you've not lost anything.

Not sure he has a legit gripe. It's obvious the team doesn't want to overplay him due to the health issues. I'm very surprised he's missed so few games in the NFL but at some point his issues are bound to take a toll. Those migranes can hit at any time even if managed well.

Honestly Jaws is a moron and not a very good analyst, I won't miss him. With him out of the MNF booth, I may actually start DVRing the non-Cowboys MNF games during the season since I usually work Mondays.

Hey don't crack on Miami's good pro sports teams. Marlins and Heat now have 4 championships since the Dolphins last title. And neither of those teams even existed until 1988.

9 times out of 10, MNF is an absolute snooze fest of a game. It's just as bad as TNF on NFLN. Judging by next year's schedule, nothing has changed.
