Default Which April did you like better?

I gotta say I did not care in the least for Judith Hoag, the actress who played April O'Neill in TMNT1. I was so relieved when they replaced her with the prettier, more likeable Paige Turco. This is mainly why I liked the sequels more...

I am psyched because I was able to score a new TMNT (2007) blu ray for $10with shipping on Ebay! Now with this triple feature and the TMNT coming to me later this week, I now own all 4 films on blu ray....now, its time for the cartoon series to come out on Blu Ray...and then I will definitely feel like I have Turtle Power!

hey but on Amazon it is like $7.25 shipped. i bought tmnt a few days ago through amazon market place for $6.50 shipped. It arrived almost a day after. i own all four films again and they take up less space then the boxset. i dont think any cartoon series have ever been released on blu-ray would be nice to see the cartoon series on blu tho.

Default Judith Hoag

Has anyone besides me watched The Nostalgia Critic's review of the three "TMNT" movies? I LMAO when he commented on Judith Hoag's role as April (basically comparing her to the cartoon series' counterpart)! His observation was spot-on, though, at least in MY opinion.

Then he replays the clip and says, "THAT'S not April O'Neil! THIS is April O'Neill"...cut to clip of April from the cartoon series in the yellow jumpsuit. You can watch the review on Youtube, it's very funny!

To me, if they wanted to base her off the cartoon version, they might as well have cast a porn star for the role.

Judith Hoag ain't exactly a perfect example of TnA, but she's a good actress who played the character well. The woman who played her in the sequels didn't capture that same tough, no-nonsense aspect that made April so great in the first film.

I like both actresses in the part, but Judith was more believable in her scenes with Chief Sterns. From what I heard, Judith refused to do the sequels, because a large amount of her scenes were cut in post-production.

Crazy talk. ;) IMO, Judith Hoag is prettier, a much better actress, and is far more suited for the role. She's perfect.

I find Paige Turco more attractive, but I prefer Judith Hoag's performance.

I have only ever seen Judith Hoag in two things since then, "Armageddon" and an episode of "Castle".

Judith Hoag was in Armageddon?

And Paige Turco has a good recurring role in TV's Person Of Interest right now (and she still looks great ).

She plays Chick's ex-wife. Only reason I know this is because I just watched it a few days ago and noticed it was her.

Also, I'm about to give up on there ever being individual releases of these movies and just accept the fact that I'll have to buy 2 and 3 to own the first one.

Yeah, I was really surprised when I first noticed her in it, too. It was probably a couple of years ago, and I kept thinking to myself, "Who is she?". Then, one day, it just clicked: "April!" I was so happy.
