it definatly is a massive case for style over substance...its not a bad movie, I enjoyed it, nothing to write home about though, looked lovley, dragged a lot, underuse of certain characters, and not the greatest choice of actors for snow white, cringed a bit when it came to a lot of her later scenes, maybe an extended cut could make the story better.

im 50/50 when it comes to purchasing this, not sure on its re-play value.

It's one of those either you loved it or hated it. I'm in the camp that loved it! And disagree w/ the above poster, but that's just me.

But seriously - I think you'd get a good sense from reading the thread and viewing the poll on here (keeping in mind your average type user of this forum) if you can't somehow watch it before the SB release:

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=175740

I heard it's greenlit for a sequel - possibly exploring the Huntsmen's past and
[Show spoiler] where that kiss might go...

It's a fairytale film, it's not exactly going to be brimming with film analysis and deep complex theories

I hope they use the image that is currently on the site. Either way I will be getting this along with the Amazon.de version.

Thanks OP. Cheers!

I'm getting both too as long as the covers are different.

I think i'll be getting this first assuming the same great prices for this as other pre-orders are being offered and definitely a better price than importing from Amazon.de

May get the Amazon.de version though should it go on offer sometime

I have to slightly disagree. While I did enjoy the movie, how many times can I see Cahrlize Theron make a slow menacing movement in one film add Prometheus to that and sheesh I can swear all she does is the slow move. I mean don't get me wrong shes hot but give me a bit more.

and Kristen Stewart has one face

SO far I already have the DE version pre-order and signed up for notification on this one but I'm willing to bet these will have the same artwork. The box set from Amazon DE has a nice looking one

the US standard release now says "extended edition." Any word on this being the same?

What's up with HMV's listing of this? It seems to have two listings exactly the same, neither of which seem to be the Steelbook.

From what I can tell (after reading the article), the extended cut includes an additional 4 minutes of content, but there's nothing to indicate special packaging of any sort.

I'm not sure that I want multiple copies of this movie, so I'm giving strong consideration to the UK CE.
