The site was owned by the same people that own this site from I remember hearing so it had nothing to do with the HD DVD promotions group

To be fair, it’s working more like a redirect(to Amazon)

If it was 100% down nothing would come up at all.

Default hd-dvd.com redirected to Amazon

Hello everybody I have been reading this forum for a long time now and found something interesting that I just had to share.

After reading the news about wal-mart I went over to check www.hd-dvd.com to see the red ants reeling over this latest blow. To my surprise I was re directed to the Amazon hd-dvd store instead of the hd-dvd forums.
Did hd-dvd.com throw in the towel or did they get hacked?

This is probably the only way the site owners can get a little revenue from that site.

If it comes back it will be pretty empty. Because non of us are going to go back when the mods are to busy not moding the forum. Atleast the new Hd hub will be looked after and kept in order like this site is.

The link took me a an Amazon.com page advertizing Casablanca on HD DVD for 50% off. When I clicked on the Cacablnca link, the page it took me to only listed third party sellers

I guess Amazon can't keep up with all the HD-DVD orders coming in.

As sleazypig alludes to, the replacement site is here:

http://www.thehdhub.com/

I have mixed feelings on this. On one hand, I think it's too bad that they had a community they enjoyed that went downhill so fast they felt they had to relocate. On the other hand, starting a new HD-DVD site at this stage of the game seems rather futile.

Their forum's numbers seem to back this up, as they only have 42 members (including, apparently, Mystiksuicide).

Default hd-dvd.com redirects to amazon hd dvd sale, no more forums

I went to see what they were saying , after the walmart news. but the site now goes straight to the amazon hd dvd sale. Did they give up and sell domain to amazon?
