I just didn't like that it didn't really feel like a "Disney" movie (too goofy, too carefully designed to appeal to the masses) but otherwise I still think it's a stellar achievement on par with the Renaissance for Disney; the character designs are wonderful and Mother Gothel is an interesting and morally conflicting villain.
I gotta say though I prefer PatF which IMO is the better film - more artistic, more likeable characters, WAY better songs and soundtrack, better setting, in the end a better villain and unfortunately a better plot; both PatF and Tangled where road movies but PatF did a better job at it, featuring realistic character arcs instead of cutesey conversions.

See al the people I know said the same thing to me about the horse... When it comes to a movie I don't want the horse to have a special subplot.. I want to be as realistic as possible. The fight to get the satchel, the time it found the passage way the went through, how it brought the rescue team for flynn, and also what kind of kingdom has a horse as their chief police officer? WTH is going with the movie?
Princess and the frog had a really good plot and had a deep meaning. Also, The villain was amazing! Truly what disney villains used to be.
