DTMoney84, I think a big reason BB won't commit is that they still have to sell off the loser of the war. Which ever side wins, they still need to get rid of the losing players and discs. If they commit to one side, in the long term it's good for profits, but then they're stuck with crap to get rid of, so they want to let it play out to cut their losses at the moment.

A nice thing to see would be the cost that BB pays for each player. So if they have a sale of one type of player, we can tell if they're pushing it or losing money on it to get rid of it, like clearance sales. Since they sell video games, the smart choice for them is, in fact, BR, since buying a PS3 guarantees a getting a BR player. While the 360 has the add-on, you're not forced to buy one.

That add-on player is one to watch. If the price starts dipping on it, that's an indication of desperation by Microsoft or BB just wanting to rid themselves of it.
