It just seems, that you have to be a freak like us or an analyst to see the inevitable: blu-ray is here to stay
One store has a 65'' Panasonic plasma with their BMP-BD10 on display running the blu-ray demo disc with parts from Ice Age 2 and KOH. It looks fantastic and everybody is in awe. But you won't find any BDs there. There are three shelves with HD-DVDs though and sales people that will tell you HD-DVD can do the same for much less At least here there are still a lot of those people around.
That is very unforrtunate to hear. Here in Pittsburgh there are 5 Besy Buy's within 15 minute drive from my house. While all 5 stock an equal amount of Blu-ray and HD-DVD discs, it seems clear to me that they are inevitably pushing the Blu-ray prodcut more. All 5 Best Buy's have a Samsung and Sony Blu-ray demo station in the center of the Audio department. None of them however have a HD-DVD demo on the floor. Even the Blu-ray players are very easy to find and out in the open, while the HD-DVD players are tucked away in the middle of some isle. Clearly they are showing a bias towards Blu-ray and I think this might only continue to grow now that the 2nd Gen. players are beginning to hit the market.
