Also, please stop with the encode stuff. A company is not going to spend all that money to re encode, so that you can see a 1% improvement. I'm glad you dont run a business.
I'm sure they will care when no one buys their shit.

Again, giving us forum nerds too much credit.

People will buy Paramount stuff. The fact that a small % of bitter BD fans wont buy movies has zero effect. I for one will welcome them back, and purchase Start Trek, Gladiator,Godfather,Transformers, and more.

Please replace your pocket protector it is messing with your head. Remember, current market penetration is less then 3% overall for all high def media. Do you really think the other 97% will even know paramount was HD only for a period?

look at the amount of people on this website who still have grudges against paramount. I myself don't care. I will buy it no matter what.

I'm actually not too worried about Paramount's quality. Before their defection they had started using different encodes for HD DVD and Blu-ray and had announced that all of their Blu-ray titles would have lossless audio . . . as long as they make good on those trends, I'll be happy camper. That was what surprised me the most about their leaving Blu-ray, since for a little while it really looked like they have a preference for Blu-ray over HD DVD. I think a lot of people were counting on them to be the first neutral studio to go Blu-ray exclusive.

I'd love a disc exchange to trade my DVD in for the Blu-ray, but I know that's next to impossible. Some sort of rebate for the DVD/Blu-ray double dip would be cool too, as long as I don't have to mutilate my Blu-ray packaging.
