They’ll be back in the fold, I just have no clue as to how soon you’ll hear an official proclamation given the recent *announcements* this past week. I believe that Paramount will proclaim Blu first, then Uni.

I shall however, keep my ear to the ground and give you guys an early heads-up if I am able. Truth be told, don’t count on too much as we’re now treading into territory that I may be directly involved with.
Meanwhile, I’ll ask Maya (pronounced My-yuh ) for her thoughts on the remaining hold-out studios………………………………………..

Forget about industry NDA leaks... the real problem is statements on the board getting into the hands of our significant-others!

Well, it's in the Wall Street Journal and other places that if Toshiba makes the announcement early this week that it's speculated they will, that Universal and Paramount will immediately be freed of their obligations to HD-DVD. So I can't imagine it'd be long.

That is money well spent. Maybe Toshiba did learn something.

Yep, gotcha, he was a real snake... he should stick to engineering.

I know it's a foregone conclusion at this point, but any info on Weinstein would be cool. They seem to be ditching HDM entirely, and that'd be a damn shame given some of the titles they have. Unless all this quiet from them is just because they've been secretly ramping up BD production. :P

Are you able to disclose if any NDAs that you were required to sign have now been disclosed or would that be a violation of any such document, if one existed and could be disclosed?

More to the point, are you still gagged about some topics? If you were, could you use that as a reason not to say more, or is even acknowledging the NDA considered disclosure?

On the subject of wives, I asked mine to stop at BB to get Close Encounters and Across the Universe while on her way out grocery shopping since the BB is next door.

Upon her return, she relates the following...

While at BB, she tells a shopper perusing the red cases that it is a "dead format" and "all the studios are going Blu-ray" and "don't throw your money away."

She did not whisper this at all as she admitted she was loud enough that 15 feet away, the blue shirts were stunned with their jaws nearly dropping.

And the shopper shifted over to the Blu shelves.

I was so proud that I poured her a pint!

P.S. We just finished watching CE3K which looked and sounded great.

Many NDAs have clauses in them that state that the signee can't even acknowledge having signed the NDA (or even its existance). I've signed a few like that...

Yes, you can not even admit having any knowledge about a program requiring an NDA!
