I'd be proud of myself if I made something that looked that good
It's not really "his" film, per say, he's just one of the major characters, so to speak. The film is an Independent Film out of the Chicago Actors Guild, I guess. They apparently filmed it in and around the Chicagoland area. Around old rundown industrial areas, and Gary, IN, a whole city that is basically a rundown shithole these days. Think of the worst areas of Detroit times two.

Anyway, Chris was a year older than me in school (Class of '90). Was friends with a couple of my neighborhood friends that were in his class as well. (One of those friends now runs a Tikibar type of thing down in Keywest, and Chris may be down there right now visiting, as per his FB postings.) Back in '85, he was in my mother's Gifted Program (mother was a teacher, taught 6th, K, and 3rd grades, and also Gifted), and he and several other kids (in Junior High at the time), all went in our brand new '85 Suburban up to Bloomington, IL (Illinois State University) for a Gifted Competition deal. On a side, note, one of the other kids in that group is now the Illinois Congressman from his District here, just west of us. We joked back then, that someday he'd run for President.

But back to this film, I don't know what kind of distribution it's supposed to get. Hopefully more than just a SyFy showing. Just have to see once longer trailers are released and whether or not it gets any press.
