Arrow Would you listen to a lossless Isolated Score track on The Dark Knight Rises Blu-ray?

I am reserving judgement on The Dark Knight Rises until I have seen it again, but one thing I definitely know I would love to have is an Isolated Score track in lossless audio, preferably with commentary by Hans Zimmer during the breaks.

This is something that isn't usually done for new release films, and I have the feeling it's because studios perceive little demand for it. However, I think it's hard to deny that Zimmer's score for The Dark Knight Rises is fantastic (to say nothing of his collaborations with James Newton Howard on Batman Begins and The Dark Knight), and that the music in Christopher Nolan's Batman films is an important part of what makes them so special.

So with that in mind, I wanted to create a thread to get the message out that I'd love to see a lossless Isolated Score track on the eventual Blu-ray release.

How about you?

Since it was largely just a rehash (with that I mean literally the same cues for the most part) of The Dark Knight's soundtrack, I'd say no.

I don't listen to isolated scores. And besides, there are not that many isolated scores features on blu-rays anyway.

Why the hell would there need to be an isolated score track? The score is so LOUD and INCESSANT that it's already drowning out the dialogue!

Why not just buy the soundtrack CD and listen to that? I never understood watching a film with just the isolated score.

Yes! Sometimes I pop in the Inception second disc just to listen to the lossless soundtrack. I'm hoping they do that with TDKR.

I own the soundtrack, but there's no denying that, if you like the music, it sounds beautiful lossless with the proper system!

CD soundtracks are lossless, too.

Touché.

Well, the Inception one is lossless surround, DTS-HD Master 5.1. I guess that's what I meant. It sounds great!

Has a composer's score ever been put on disc with a commentary? To answer your question, I would definitely welcome and listen to such a notion.

No. Mainly because it would mean having to watch The Dark Knight Rises again. Once was plenty.
