We actually just watched the adjustment bureau together. It's a movie that started our whole argument about him lol. In my honest opinion I think either titanic or shutter island was leonardos best though. After being such a huge fan boy matt damon I still haven't seen the bourne trilogy. Is it good? I really love him in the movie hereafter. Probably because I felt a strong connection to his characters role.

One of the best things he's ever done and the role that turned me completely around on him. Prior to the Bourne series I thought he was a moderately talented, moderately charming pretty boy but I never really saw him as leading man material.

Leo has come along way since his stint on the mid 80's TV show "Growing Pains".....
Damon paid his dues early in Hollywood but has an Oscar to prove it. Both are equal in talent and can carry a movie and or be part of a large ensemble without stealing the picture from the lead...... The better argument would be I wonder how the two buddies Affleck/Damon are towards each others careers as Damon is clearly the better of the two.... |

Now that Affleck is on the right side of the camera I'm not sure that's entirely true anymore. They're both very good at what they do.

Arguably his best work is the Bourne trilogy. |

And Leo in Titanic, The Departed, Shutter Island and to a lesser extent Inception is brilliant.
My favorite though will always be Basketball Diaries. I like almost every film Matt Damon has made except Stuck on You and Brothers Grimm. |

Hating Leo because of swooning Titanic fangurls?...Oh, please. That is SO 90's.
![]() (Thought he was good in "Shutter Island", too, until the whole thing turned into a poseur do-it-yourself Kafka plagiarism. Yeah, Marty, we've read the books too.) And I don't even remember what Matt Damon was ever hate-typecast for, but that's probably because every time I try to, I keep confusing him with the misdirected celeb-weary guff Ben Affleck gets for his movies. |

Im staying right here - and the Departed is so bad its like a comedy. Potentially the worst movie ever, right behind Battlefield Earth.
![]() As for Leo, hes a decent actor but I dont care for that many of his films. As for Matt - hes a hack and seems more concerned about spreading his commie-pinko liberalism than making good films so he can go screw. The Boring Supremacy films are crap too. Thats all I got. ![]() |
