This is practically a daily event by now, but yet another NFL player has been arrested for drunk driving. This time it was Titans receiver Kenny Britt, and it took place at an army base. Britt and teammate Tommie Campbell were bringing a female soldier home at 5:31 AM Tuesday when they were stopped at the gate. Britt, the Titans first round pick in 2009, missed most of last season with an ACL and MCL tear.

Britt has been arrested 7 times previous to this. As explained previously with the Marshawn Lynch arrest a DUI falls under the substance-abuse policy and not the personal-conduct policy so Britt may escape a suspension. If the NFL decides there are aggravating circumstances they could suspend Britt, and with Britt's background a full season suspension wouldn't be out of the question.

Edit: Tommie Campbell said he wasn't with Britt and that he's been in Pennsylvania since last Friday.

More arrests to report. Chiefs cornerback Donald Washington was arrested on Thursday for driving under the influence of drugs, unlawful possession of marijuana, speeding and driving on a suspended license. Washington was pulled over for speeding and the officer smelled marijuana and found a small amount of marijuana in a backpack in the trunk.

Lions CB Aaron Berry has also been arrested on 3 counts of simple assault. There aren't a lot of confirmed details on this, but according to a post on a Dolphins message board Berry pointed a gun at 3 people after getting into an argument with the men after his car almost hit them while backing out. Berry was arrested last month for drunk driving and this is the 7th arrest for a Lions player this offseason. The person's account of what happened is in post #1 in the link below.

Time for a roundup of some recent development of some current NFL legal issues:

Raiders receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey pleaded no contest to DUI.

Jaguars receiver Justin Blackmon agreed to a plea deal for DUI.

Accused of pulling a fire alarm when they couldn't get into their hotel, Eagles running back Dion Lewis (and brother Lamar) will see the charges against them reduced from a felony and a misdemeanor to a pair of misdemeanors that are then dismissed only if they stay out of trouble for six months.

Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant's mother does not want to press assault charges against her son. Prosecutors haven't said whether they will press charges or not.
