Thanks Sinthetic and Jose! If I were to buy these all at once would you recommend YA or CDJapan? Prices seem to be the same but I know YA have free shipping but I also noticed CDJ have a rewards program of sorts. Any suggestions?

To anyone who has received the "picnic blanket", what material is it? I can't tell if it's cloth or synthetic/plastic-y.

Plastic.... like those plastic sheeting that protect some areas from the rain... but very very thin.

Tough call mate. I would say CDJapan are better than YesAsia. The only problem is, I am pretty sure buying them all at once from CDJapan could land you with some customs/import fees.

I prefer to pay the little extra for CDJapan and get them delivered much quicker, with better packaging.

I'm not the best person to explain about the loyalty scheme with CDJapan, but I ordered Totoro and got almost 500 Yen for future use. This probably means that if you buy them all, you will have around 7000 Yen rewarded (which basically means you get the next Ghibli release for FREE!).

Moving on to YesAsia... A member on here bought them all from there a couple of weeks ago and didn't have any problems at all (other than pretty slow delivery).

Hope that helps some.

I got my blu's from YesAsia today. No picnic blanket, but I never thought I would get it, so whatever. A little dent on a corner on the spine of Totoro, otherwise I'd say they're in mint condition.

EDIT: Today's catch

Well, I'm a huge bat-fan, but "The New 52" really got me hooked on a lot of other series as well. I never thought I'd be a fan of Aquaman or Wonder Woman for example, yet here I am.
DC and Vertigo is the way to go if you ask me, but I'm leaving this now as I don't want to stray too of topic here.

I would look at Amazon.co.jp as the prices are much cheaper. You can save about 1500 yen on each title. I don't know how prices would compare after shipping is factored in though.

I guess I'll get my last two tomorrow. Couldn't be home waiting on the mail all day, so it's possible that they rang my doorbell while I was at work, but there's always tomorrow.

Also waiting on a couple of plushies for my growing Ghibli plush collection. (Teto, sitting Kodama & Mei)

Wow, that's a long wait. I got my shipping notice last wednesday and it arrived today, and it's never taken more than two weeks at most for me before.

Yesasia shipping time for me:

Arrietty & Ponyo: 6 Working Days
Tales From Earthsea & Howl's Moving Castle: 6 Working Days
Nausicaä & Laputa: 10 Working Days
Whisper of the Heart & My Neighbours the Yamadas: 10 Working Days

I'll post info for Grave of the Fireflies, My Neighbour Totoro, Joe Hisaishi in Budokan & Oga Kazuo Exhibition - The Man Who Painted Totoro's Forest once I get them. Oh, and for the Ghibli Museum & Yaganawa Canal's DVDs as well.

EDIT: What does the Olympics have to do with it?? Ahh...you're British....

5 weeks? that disgraceful, I hope they don't take those kind of liberties with my order.

These are all the covers of the titles released so far. I've used a colour sensor app on my phone to get more accurate looking colours. I then used the colour ID I got from the app in Photoshop. The colour of the Ponyo cover was really hard to recreate this way and it's not 100%, the same goes for Earthsea and Howl's Moving Castle. For Fireflies and Totoro, I used a photo, which is not the same thing but it's the best I can do atm.

In the end it all depends on in what light you view the covers.

James, next time you are after a Japanese release... Try CDJapan. They will probably be a couple of £ more expensive (use Airmail), but you will get your stuff MUCH quicker and I believe they are customs free.

Amen mate. Let's hope they announce it in the next 2 weeks so I can put it on my list to Santa.

I'm expecting the announcement for the next 2 releases in the next 2 weeks mate. That will mean they will come out November/December 2012. It could well be Spirited Away!

Praying and hoping for these two titles for their next release. I would be the happiest fan.
