Why reissue existing discs in steelbooks instead of matching the content to other releases? 300 and Blade Runner have much more comprehensive editions in the US, why not take the opportunity to release the new 3 disc Blade Runner set in the UK steelbook or the 300 "complete experience" version?
I don't get the point of new fancy packaging when the content is still lacking in comparison to other countries' releases.

Own pretty much all of these already but will be more than happy to upgrade if the artwork is good.

I already own the German 10,000 BC Steelbook and have the normal UK slipbox release but i love the movie so much i might go for this steelbook too, if the artwork is different to the German release. Would probably also get Sherlock Holmes to go with my Sherlock Holmes Game of Shadows Steelbook.

I've been looking for a steelbook copy of that. But, I want one with Babydoll on the cover. The only ones I can find are the Comic Con drawing art version and the Best Buy steampunk machine version.

Depending on what Inception looks like, I think this would be the only one that I would be interested in.

Thanks OP for the post.

Cheers!

I'm gonna be extremeley annoyed if these have the same artwork as the Amazon.ca releases and are cheaper. My friend ordered me these and sent them out yesterday and although i were happy with the cost at the time, having the same artworks gonna peeve me off for those titles.

I'd rather they go with Amazon.jp artwork and then i wouldn't be as annoyed

I had an e-mail to say I had won the auction for the Heat steelbook on Ebay. I forgot I bid on this, although this was before this announcement. Still,, that was for the Canadian version, so I will pick up the UK one as well

It'd be nice if that Blade Runner release actually came with the 5-disc version.

I disagree. 5 discs would make this a G1 or Jumbo, and i for one don't want that!

Not necessarily. All they would really need to do is put two disks on one side, a removable plastic hinge holder in the centre for two more and one disk holder on the left. Potentially keeps it a very compact G2 size

Why talk of the 5-disc set, when they're already shrinking that down to a 3-disc set? No need for a jumbo there, but unfortunately they still won't release that in the UK it seems.

I think the Play Alien steelbook showed a G2 steelbook can hold a maximum of 4 disks hence the recent 5 disk jumbo Batman...

I doubt it would be the 5 disk one anyhow, more likely the 2 disk one repackaged.

I had a look at a steelbook vid for the BB/TDK steelbook and noticed the disk holders seem thicker than they needed to be. That's probably why they needed a jump imo. They could have used the much thinner holders. The dual disk plastic holders like in triple play editions, with a holder in the middle and one by itself on the left. I think it could easily work

Its been confirmed in many threads that the most discs they can get into a G2 steelbook is 4.

Nothing to worry about with this release though as it will be one, maybe 2 discs

+1 on Returns.
Batman already has one in Canada. It's a lovely steel.

It is, but you can't really get it easily over here atm. I'd much prefer a same artwork release here in the UK and tbh, would love to get every single one of them released in steelbook.

If i had to be really selective though, schumachers can be avoided but Burton's and Nolan's are a must

These could look exactly the same as the Japan releases, but a small fraction of the price.
