I finally ordered the regular edition of both Totoro & Fireflies. Hopefully they get here within a week. But I doubt it though since Totoro isn't in stock.. But anyway here's hoping..

I can't wait to view Totoro on blu. Last week me, my nephew and his friend (both 6 year old boys) watched Totoro, and both of them enjoyed the film.

There was this time when my nephew's friend saw a corn kernel (I assumed it was from a popcorn that didn't popped) and they mentioned it was an acorn just like the one in Totoro. There is a huge Eucalyptus tree in his friends backyard so I told them probably Totoro lives in his backyard and they were both fascinated. Both of them spent most of the afternoon looking for more kernel.

Heh, heh that's cool. Today during the scene where Satsuki and Mei help Totoro to sprout the seedlings and grow a huge tree my 3 year old girl was doing the motions along with them. It was quite cute. I'm so glad Ghibli or Buena Vista decided to include the Korean dubs on these discs as my daughter is bilingual (English and Korean) and it's nice to be able to watch whichever version she wants. Looking forward to getting all of them for her. Hoping for Kiki next.

It's nice that kids enjoys Ghibli films. I was afraid of showing Totoro to my nephew and his friend thinking they might not be interested to the protagonists as they're both female. Also my nephew's friend wanted to watch Ponyo but I couldn't find the disc, I might've placed it somewhere. But I was glad they found Totoro and the dust bunnies to be interesting so they've enjoyed it.

I also wanted them to see Kiki as it's the most frequent Ghibli movie I watch but then again I'm abit hesitant to show it to them because it seemed to be geared towards girls. But anyway, I'll definitely show it to them. Same goes for Spirited Away, I couldn't show it to them because it may be a little too scary for them to handle.. Any thoughts? As I mentioned they're both 6 year old boys. I want both of them to see these excellent film..

On the side note, still crossing my fingers for Kiki and Only Yesterday as the next blu ray installment..

I'm definitely holding off on Spirited Away, but I don't know about 6 year olds. Most of the kids I'm around are younger than that and I don't really remember what it's like to be 6 . I would think Laputa would be a great choice for young boys though. There is a lot of adventure, flying, strong male and female protagonists, and cool giant robots!

As I typed that I started to think that Nausicaa might be a good trial for whether they are ready for Spirited Away. It's just a little scary at the end with the giant god warrior (and maybe Nausicaa's dad being killed, though you don't see it happen). If anyone hasn't read the Manga yet I highly recommend it. Just finished it myself a few months ago after having procrastinated forever.

We're going through a bit of a ghibli phase in my house at the moment. I showed my 4 year old spirited away. She loved it. It has become one of her
favourites. I was quite surprised when she sat through all of princess mononoke. Shes asked to watch that again a couple of times as well. I hope that helps.

I'm surprised you chose to show her Mononoke considering its quite adult themes and subject matter. Glad she enjoyed it, but if I had children of my own, I really fear how they would cope with seeing decapitations and torn limbs at that sensitive age.

I'd say go with Kiki! They're too young to care about whether the main character is male or female. I'd probably hold off on the more romantic real-life films you and me love though, like Only Yesterday.

It's entirely your choice, but aren't these nearly full price?

Well, they are £57 brand new and that is from the shite YesAsia.

I'm charging less than £47. Pretty good deal in my opinion, considering the discs are mint. The only issue is small damage to the case (probably nothing of importance to someone less fussy than me).

Consider this, I bought them for £57 from YesAsia. They turned up in the condition that I'm selling them.

I've dropped £10 off Poppy Hill and £15 off Howl and the postage will cost me £4 for next day Recorded. That means you are getting what I got from YesAsia, but with 1 day delivery time as opposed to the 10 day minimum from HK.

I've got loads of people watching them, so I'm pretty sure my pricing is fair.

Hahaha! End up selling them for £15 each. I've had so many messages saying can you knock the price by 50%.

How about no guys? ;D

True but for everyone outside UK shipping is £10 and that's what I must calculate with

I think you'd probably get about 22-28 for them in an auction starting from 99p, what you need to do is make a 'buy it now or best offer' listing, then put a set price where you'll consider offers it's a lot easier then having to relist a standard auction.

I'm very fair and flexible if people want to knock the price down by £5 or so. I'm just getting silly proposals from UK buyers. International buyers are welcome to have some kind of deal, but the price for posting is exactly £10. Remember that eBay take 10% of the sale and PayPal take around £1/2 from the payment.

An example of how much I would end up with (to test my fairness statement):

£47 (UK sale) - £4.50 postage - £2 PayPal fees - £4.25 (eBay fees) = £36.25 total sale.

After the listings end tonight, I'm doing the best offer thing mate. I'm hiring you for marketing from now on. :P
