The graphic novel is a classic. The movie is an interesting-looking hamfisted hack job by a massively overrated director, like everything Zack Snyder does

The film is very good, not perfect, but very good. I wish the soundtrack was better, they could have picked some much better old tracks to fit the film than the ones chosen in my opinion.

I love the soundtrack and the tone it sets for the film. Even the tracks people find odd - 99 Red Balloons, Hallelujah - really work for me (especially the last one - I don't think some people understand that the scene is supposed to be silly, cheesy and tongue-in-cheek).

Ultimate Cut's never been released over here (I read it's due to the split copyright between Warners and that Paramount woud have to pay extra to distribute it here). Even if they decided to it wouldn't be with this steelbook - it would get it's own proper release rather than just an online-only steelbook re-release.

And that proper release will most likely not be released here in europe, cause face it, Europe doesn't show must interest for Watchmen, even though the novel was pretty amazing.

Alan Moore's Watchmen is the Citizen Kane of the Comic Book industry...
Absolute Masterpiece.

Zack Snider movie is - IMO - the best Comic book movie ever... I mean the Extended cut.. Brilliant...

I'll pre-order this steel of course.. It will join my Watchmen collection...

PS : please read ABSOLUTE WATCHMEN...
You'll know how great is this book...

Artwork is great and I might just pick it up as in investment even if it is just the TC. Praying its the DC though so I can sell off my amaray.

Managed to grab the Ultimate Cut for £60 last week. Seems steep at first, but when you check Ebay, you see how ridiculous it could be. Probably still pick up this steelbook because the film is awesome.

I think this was £30 to £40 even at original release. Plus was quite a low edition size. The DVD version seemed to be around at normal price much longer than the BD.

I don't understand why play can't simply state whether it's going to be the TC or DC, surely they have that info to hand?

I've got a feeling it's going to be the barebones TC.
