Cancelled my pre-orders for Pocahontas and Aristocats.
Might've been too hasty if Amazon go mad with price matching, but either way, the product seems disappointing and Disney seem to have decided that ****ing us over is the best way to go with every release. Still have R/RDU because they are two movies in one and price could yet drop. |

I'm so glad Disney is releasing so many of its films. I was thinking we'd never get alot of them on blu-ray. Still eagerly anticipating the US release of Hercules, and I might be in the minority, but I'd really like The Sword in the Stone too.

I just ordered Pocahontas, Tangled 3d (from DMC) and BATB 3d (from Amazon). I have preordered Cinderella from DMC but plan to cancel and order the one that includes Digital Copy.
Yet to buy/order: Finding Nemo 3d, Secret of the Wings 3d, Brave 3d, Cinderella II & III, The Princess and The Frog (for some reason we don't have this one). Also plan to buy Despicable Me 3d (disappointed it doesn't include digital copy like Disney tends to do), The Lorax 3d and Rio 3d (loaned out our bluray and never got it back). You know, just $200 worth of movies, no big deal. UGH. This habit is getting expensive. I don't even want to know how much we have spent with DMC over the last two years. Unsure about Aristocats and Rescuers - I wasn't into them too much as a kid. Not sure if my daughter will want them later on... |

Does anyone know if the Pocahontas 2 Movie Collection Blu-Ray, and the Rescuers 2 Movie Collection Blu-Ray will have coupons or sales of some sort? Because I am also eyeing the blu ray of Lady and the Tramp 2:Scamp's Adventure, so I want to know how much approximately I'll be paying?

While I'm on the subject, how much do you know about the "We Say Goodbye" finale sequence? It's always baffled me how the quality of that scene suddenly shoots back up to the quality of the first two segments and how that's clearly Jon Walmsley as Christopher even though he was 21 by the time Many Adventures was released. Was that recorded and animated around the same time as the other two shorts (mid 60s) and just shelved until they finally found use for it a decade later? That would solidify Mattinson's claim that the original feature-length film was 2/3 finished by the time they stopped and re-assembled everything. |

Also, the complaints in the British press over the American voice of Christopher Robin in Walt's version of Honey Tree are well known (Bruce Reitherman, same voice as Mowgli in Jungle Book), while Blustery Day and Tigger Too use different English actors for both films. |

Ok, I just read the reviews and I'm pleased with the scores Ken Brown gave the films. The only thing I disagree with is the rating for Pocahontas which is a personal favorite but aside from that they seem to be very worthwhile releases. Even Aristocats which was the center of controversy a while back has "stunning" picture, so everything is good.
Now let's just wait for the review of The Rescuers/The Rescuers Down Under. ![]() |

Can anyone confirm if The Rescuers Down Under was sourced digitally for the Blu-ray? It was the first CAPS film, but from the review screenshots it looks like there is grain. I don't dislike grain, but I was hoping the sequel would be sourced from the original files, if available, much like the other 90's Disney films on Blu-ray.
