I'm getting the Target edition for sure. I'll swing by Best Buy to see what their edition looks like in person before I decide. My grandparents will also be getting me the Costco edition too.

Thanks! I actually hadn't looked at that until you gave me that link. I think it's the same one I seen tonight, just a bit longer.

I purchased the 4-disc deluxe edition of The Hunger Games and I'm planning on getting the Best Buy's limited cube and the District 12 steelbook soon.

Call us crazy, but I preordered the Target 3-disc exclusive and would get the Mockingjay FS steelbook via an awesome friend in Vancouver, BC. Then my gf and I will also head to Bestbuy to get the box set and then to Costco for gift set with swag...

Considering the price of the prop replica exclusives, this set is worth it. You could sell the exclusives on ebay and make all your money back.

So you'd be left with the box and the movie? If you'd do that it'd be better to just buy the regular release.

What time does Target open? I have to get there before I go to work. I just hope they put it on the shelf nice and early tomorrow morning. No spider wraps either!

Does anyone know if the Walmart/pendent exclusive will have the blu-ray in an actual blue plastic blu-ray case inside the exclusive box? I'm not into the big box releases (Ben Hur, Wizard of Oz, etc). I want to be able to put the movie on my shelve with my other blu-rays and have the spine(s) show like a library/uniform set up. Thanks in advance!

The package looks just like the Walmart exclusive of Spooky Buddies which was a larger box with the normal BD case on one side and the extra content on the other. This one should be the same way.

You can get the mockingjay pin/pendant separately. A lot of place such as Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Hot Topic, etc. are selling swag related to the movie, so I would get the movie elsewhere since Walmart's pricing is not competitive.

For those of you who can't pre-order the Best Buy set through the website, I downloaded the Best Buy iPhone app and was able to place my order for store pickup through the app. Hopefully that may help some of you.

Many, if not most/all, open at 8 AM.

It looks like the Target version has a commanding lead. Yay!

Wow. Really? Nothing like highly compressed "high def"... I didn't think that people that were interested in Day 1 (or Day 0 depending on how you count it) were interested in sub-par quality. Then again, maybe you are watching it on a iPad or some other small screen with low level audio.

Sorry, nothing against you personally, but I see it all the time where people think that streaming or downloading is the same quality at physical discs.

DTS 7.1 Master Audio FTW!

Boom!

Well, to each his own, but I thought that this site was for Blu-ray enthusiasts and not people who pay for Internet downloads rather than getting them as freebies along with a disc purchase.

Which one are you getting, nickbuol?

Not too sure after seeing the Best Buy edition in hand pics. I think I'm still going with Target.

Tron: Legacy with the die-cast light cycle was also the same way.
