Another positive review on The Aristocats BD transfer:

From Moviemet's review:

"Of the five releases this week, this is the most impressive. The new AVC/MPEG-4 transfer is absolutely breathtaking, offering a level of detail and edge delineation that really makes the figures pop and the backgrounds look sublime. Now the sketch quality of the artistic style looks more refined, and that changes the whole look. Purists will still see imperfections, but given how rough this film has looked over the years the Blu-ray release from Disney is really a gift to fans. “The Aristocats” is presented in 1.66:1 widescreen."

The good ones worth having are insanely overpriced (the current record holder is "Dr. Syn, Alias the Scarecrow" on Amazon at $299, followed by the Disneyland 50th set and Chronological Donald 4, Including Mathmagic Land, at $180), and the affordable and available ones are affordable and available for a.......reason.

Oswald, obviously, is going for $21.
Thanks to overprinting, however, the WWII "Front Lines" set can still be had for the $30's, Tomorrowland (and the Ward Kimball classics and Walt's Epcot City film therein) is still going for the $20's, and a few copies remain of the Rarities Shorts sets in that range.
You could get the "Disneyland USA" set for the 30's, but if you want the 10th Anniversary special with the original Tiki Birds, it's also on "Your Host Walt Disney", which DMR was giving away free at one point, but is now up to $75.

...Abandon ye all hope of Zorro Seasons 1&2, however.

I actually have both zorro sets. I got them in preorder on wherehouse.com for 50 dollars for both of them shipped

I would like to get 3 and 4 of the donald sets but not willing to spend the prices people have them listed for

I also have the goofy, both silly symphonies, mickey mouse in color vol 1 and donald duck volume 2 as well as oswald when it was a free disney treasure off disney movie rewards

Sorry this is a stupid question but amazon priced matched best buys price and lowered the pre orders to 14.99 each and now they price matched Tigger will the price go down to 14.99 before it ships tomorrow or do we have to contact them?

Basically will they change it or will I just be charged the 18.xx ?

If it doesn't change before it ships the difference will get automatically refunded by Wed or Thurs.

I posted both my seasons of Zorro as one full set on amazon. Scary thing is I never watched one epsiode! The tins etc are mint hand picked at Best Buy the day they were released.

For those still waiting on shipping of this weeks titles have u contacted customer service? I don't care if u have prime or not, all titles should ship before release day especially to try for release date delivery.

That IS scary--It's one of Disney's better Davy Crockett-era series.
(Watched the entire series from the library, and was hooked on both seasons. They point out in the featurette how Walt avoided the obvious un-Disney problem of the earlier versions by letting Guy Williams play Don Diego as irresponsible but still manly/charming, thus avoiding the "Ambiguously gay" trap that Tyrone Power and Douglas Fairbanks fell into. It's been hard to watch anybody else's version since.)

I should probably get around to watching some of the Mickey Mouse Club/subseries collections, but I have dim memories of having to put up with the syndicated reruns in the late 70's, and I'm not sure I'm able to face them again.

Mine still say Not Yet Shipped, so even if they ship tomorrow, it will be Friday or Saturday, before I get them. I'd cancel and pick them up tomorrow but I doubt I'll find them anywhere at 14.99 each and these aren't "hurry up, I can't stand it titles" like say Aladdin or The Little Mermaid would be for me.

WOW! I had no idea this was going for so much now. I am SO glad I picked one up a couple years ago while it was on sale at my local Movie Stop.

Also, can someone confirm what extras are on the Pocahontas movies? Just wondering if its worth keeping hold of the UK versions or if I'm safe to whack them on ebay (Pocahontas 1 BR and Pocahontas 2 DVD FYI )

Can't wait to watch The Rescuers in HD! This is one of my favorite Disney songs featured in the film (I teared up watching this just now after not having seen or heard it for many years )--
