For speakers, I would definitely recommend auditioning Paradigm or Monitor Audio speakers before you buy. Both offer outstanding sound and build quality for the money.

Personally, I feel the same way about Klipsch. The treble is a bit too harsh and forward sounding for my tastes. It gets to be a bit fatiguing after a while.
