When will this be available in a regular BD case? I don't like the digibook cover.

Great buy!

Worth noting that the original 2.0 mono soundtrack is available. It's not listed on the back cover which worried me, but it's on the disc, which rules. It's great to see the film with its original sound mix. The remastered sound mix just sounds off...

My only concern is the lack of grain. It just doesn't look very filmic to me.

Lack of grain?

Are you serious?

Love the digibook - there are interesting things to read in it.
I believe a standard amaray case would devalue the release.
The film looks fantastic. My only gripe is the generic Universal Studios blu-ray menu with the symbols.

I bought it yesterday and watched it last night.

It is AWESOME. I CANNOT fault the transfer at all.

Lack of grain? There IS a thin layer of grain. It must be remembered that this film was NOT meant to be grainy; it looks the way Spielberg intended. I hope we are not going to get cinephiles complaining about DNR etc. Open your eyes and watch the image - it is fantastic.

Why would you not want the digibook? The packaging is excellent.

In what way exactly? It would be no different to any other film that gets given multiple versions at release. It was actually supposed to be available in a standard Amaray case as well upon release. As soon as it comes out in an Amaray I'll be getting rid the digibook, because believe it or not I actually think cardboard cases are a cheaper standard to plastic. So from my perspective why would I want to pay more for cardboard when plastic is far more durable?

Edit: I and others who would prefer this in an amaray respect and understand that collecting packaging is important to some, so with that being said you should also respect and understand that some people don't like or want digibooks etc. Having and amaray version of this available now certainly wouldn't be a bad thing, because it gives the consumer a choice, and as a result would satisfy everybody.

I have to agree about the main menu, looks very basic. Thought the menu on the DVD was better than this. My only gripe also

Hey mate went and watched this last night and i thought it had no grain either till i had a closer look. Its there. But its a fine layer. Looks like they may have done a tiny bit of grain scrubbing. Dont know why everone is jumping down ur neck for pointing this out.
