[Show spoiler]Laurie was feeling responsible for Shane going in the deep end. We know this because out of the blue when everyone was against him, just when it seemed Shane got the message about Laurie and him being over, she makes it a point to run and apologize to him. This essentially proves to Shane that she still must care about him, and that if Rick was gone - say, in an accident or something - then they would be together.

Of course, Laurie already told Rick that Shane needed to go because he was dangerous. So, Rick was 'set in motion' by Laurie to kill Shane.

Well, Rick and Shane went out in the woods and only Rick came back. Rick killed him. So, why did Laurie act so disgusted? Part of it was that after telling Rick to go ahead and get rid of Shane, she ended up feeling all sorts of bad and got all mushy on Shane again. Yet here she was, faced with the news that Shane was killed, and it was her fault. She KNOWS she's responsible for Shane and Rick going head to head, and part of her disgust is with herself. That's not all of it, of course. She's actually genuinely upset that Rick had to kill Shane, because she did sort of retract how she felt... but it was too late. Not like she can tell Rick, though.

As transparent as this show can be at times, it also doesn't go out of its way to spoon feed everything to you... not all the time. Maybe we'll get more info on this in the third season, but the reason listed in the spoiler kind of shows that there's more going on than some kind of goof-up by the writers, which is what you were hastily implying.
I would probably agree with you if there was some precedence to thinking that the show does not spoon feed you. I just don't see it however, how I perceived the shows representation of Laurie thats quite a stretch to believe. and thats fine. Agree to disagree.

Anyone have any photos of the packaging for the BD releases? Not just the screwdriver head, but the actual cases for the discs.

The release is less than a week and I'm still debating if I want the Zombie head or just save $20 and get the standard release.

I'm a little concerned that this is still $48. Better be dropping to around the $35 mark in the next few days.

Very anxious to see BB's ad. You think the regular release would be the same price of Target's $39.99?

Now that's a really good price. Hoping that Homeland will drop a few more bucks too.

Why is everybody in the Special Edition post talking about the price of the regular edition?

$29.99 is just about my price point. I may still bite though. BB really came through. I wouldn't have been surprised if this was $30+.

There isn't a regular thread. This one even has the regular edition details in the first post.

Anybody buying the zombie head edition, and want to sell me the DigiPack inside? I want that version instead of the standard version, and it doesn't look like it will be sold outside of the head. Or maybe we can trade the DigiPack for the standard slipcover'd version, and you can fit the standard Blu-ray case versions of Season 1 and Season 2 both inside the head? If anyone is interested, I'm certainly willing to work something out.
