Actually I mentioned Ohio St. quite a few times this year. It's easy to do a search on these forums. A good dozen or so posts mentioning OSU and nothing negative. In fact pretty much all positive with regards to recruiting. Good job cherry picking the "facts" you want. You're getting to the point of absurdity if all you can come up with is a scandal from over a year ago. And who didn't blast Ohio St. on the Pryor/Tressel scandal? Everyone who isn't a Ohio St. grad did.

My own school is also on probation for violations. Difference is I'm not going to try to make lame excuses for rules violations. You break the rules, you take the punishment.

There is no doubt at this point that the Iowa running back position is cursed after yet another season ending injury to a running back. Here's a recap of the last 24 months for Iowa running backs.

Winter 2010: Jeff Brinson transfers to Central Florida. Brinson had one carry for seven yards in 2009.
Winter 2010: Josh Brown transfers to Murray State. Brown did not play in 2009.
Summer 2010: Brandon Wegher leaves for personal reasons and later transfers. Wegher rushed for 641 yards and eight touchdowns as a freshman in 2009.
Fall 2010: Jewel Hampton leaves after a slew of injuries and an arrest that summer. Hampton rushed for 463 yards and seven touchdowns as a freshman in 2008, missed 2009 and rushed for 114 yards and one score in 2010.
Winter 2011: Adam Robinson is dismissed after being charged with possession of marijuana the day before the team's Insight Bowl appearance. Robinson rushed for 834 yards and five touchdowns in 2009 and 941 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2010.
Winter 2012: Mika'il McCall transfers to Southern Illinois after being suspended for violating unspecified team rules in the fall. McCall rushed for 69 yards on 11 carries in 2011.
Winter 2012: Marcus Coker transfers to Stony Brook after an investigation without charges for alleged sexual assault during the fall. Coker rushed for 622 yards and three touchdowns in 2010 and 1,384 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2011.
Spring 2012: Jordan Canzeri tears his ACL during a closed practice. Canzeri had 31 carries for 114 yards and a receiving touchdown in 2011.
Summer 2012: De'Andre Johnson is dismissed after being arrested twice in three days. Johnson rushed 18 times for 79 yards in 2011.
Summer 2012: Barkley Hill tears his ACL. He had no college carries.

I agree, those UT fans went way too far. I will never change my stance that Kiffin is a proven (many times) scumbag, but his family didn't deserve the crap they had to go through over him leaving UT.

Don't get me wrong, he absolutely handled the situation the wrong way and should have done things way differently during his exit. There are respectable ways to leave a job and he did about the exact opposite. If you ask me, they both screwed up royally in that situation (Kiffin and the Volunteer fan base).

He created a lot of contraversy during his tenure at UT and really did nothing positive at all for the program. Then at the first sign of greener pastures he bailed out like a five year old quitting a game of chutes and ladders he wasn't winning. After that, to top off the entire situation, the UT fanbase behaved like a psycho mob and only made the situation worse.

Extra two? One maybe but I don't see where you are getting two. Most teams play 5 road games a year. Again this whining and complaining really does no good and means very little in the end.

I also checked and USC doesn't play 6 road games, they play 5 and 1 neutral.

No, the UCLA-USC game is @ the Rose Bowl in 2012. That's UCLA's home field. It's a road game. Rotates each year.

The Syracuse-USC game is the neutral game, although considering it's being played at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey it's still going to force USC to travel clear across the country.

So, assuming you have a point, what makes Kiffin a "scumbag"? Was it the SIX (WHOA!) secondary violations that he committed while at UT? Was it the ZERO violations that he has committed so far while at USC?

How did he handle things the wrong way? He met with his players and told them he was leaving. He met with the press and told them he was leaving. What else did you want him to do?

He created the controversy to create a "buzz" about the program with recruits. Up to that point, UT was in decline. He also improved their record in his one season at UT. He took a bad QB (Crompton) and coached him up enough to actually get him drafted by the NFL. His team was very well-prepared for both UF and Alabama, easily covering the spreads and taking Alabama to a botched FG attempt of upsetting the Tide.

He had a buyout written in his UT contract. He told the AD that the only job that he would consider leaving UT for was USC. So, the "greener pastures" was well-telegraphed to the UT athletic department once Carroll resigned.

But... Keep drinking the Kiffin/USC haterade. Jealousy is such a lovely trait to express in public.

Exactly. USC, for all intents and purposes, plays a 6-home, 6-road schedule. It's been that way for a LONG time. Last year's 7-home, 5-road schedule was a first in over a DECADE.

It's a Thursday night game on the road. USC has traditionally crapped the bed under these types of scheduled games in the past, so you may be correct.

It's the one game that I worry about most for 2012.

UCF over Akron by 29 - Hopefully we do better than last season. We have a cupcake in week one.

Alabama over Michigan by 12.5 (I'm sure Bama wins but that's a big spread)
Michigan St. over Boise St. by 7
Notre Dame over Navy by 17
Penn St. over Ohio by 6 (Only a 6 point favorite? How the mighty have fallen)
Ohio St. over Miami (OH) by 23
Miami vs. Boston College - Pick Em
Clemson over Auburn by 3.5
USC over Hawaii by 39
Virginia Tech over Georgia Tech by 7.5

I'm most looking forward to the Alabama-Michigan, Michigan St.-Boise St. and Clemson-Auburn games.

I believe it's on tape Kiffin told them there is one job he would split for and that was UsC it's not like he went down to alabama. Also if he was such a bad coach then TN fans wouldn't have been so bitter he was a blocked kick away from beating an insanely good Bama team, Outplayed #1 Florida at home and lost by 4 he'd have had them in contention.

BTW the Tressel legacy isn't tarnished. He still is recognized as a great, championship coach and they didn't have to beg Urban to be their coach when that was one of his dream jobs all along.
