It always amuses me how people get upset by little changes, it really doesn't do the stereotype that all Wars fans are like comic book guy from the Simpsons any good

Lucas has been changing the movies since the 70's anyway, so unless you were sat in the cinema in 1977 then you have NEVER seen the original

And has already mentioned I think its fun he keeps changing things, made it more exciting to sit down and watch for the first time on DVD/Blu

Still need to pick this up, just haven't quite had the money to fork out to pay for it, so glad to hear its getting good reviews. As far as the alterations to the films go, I've complained about some from time to time but only because some of these films are already perfect without alterations, when it comes to the nitty gritty it doesn't take any enjoyment out of the films for me personally, it only adds to them really... its great fun seeing if you can find and notice all of the changes.

Thats Bull mate, I still have the orginal 1980's VHS releases from CBS/FOX . They are the originals, so you didnt have to be in the cinema in 1977,1980, 1983...

Maybe he doesn't expect GL to last that long and his kid will release them

I love everything GL has done with his creation. An artists work is never completed and that is why GL wil continue to try and make his films the way he wanted to but didn't have the tech to do it.

In all honesty, he should have just remade 4-6 when they tech was up to scratch at least that way we could have the originals, and an all new take on Star Wars.

I'm holding out for a price drop too. Not because I can't afford current prices but because the changes made devalue the movies as a whole.

Improving special effects like removing the awefull Yoda puppet is a good thing but rewriting history like Luke doesn't scream now he screams is another. Bad judgement on GL part.

I'm not sure The Phantom Menace made enough at the box office to warrant the rest of the films being released in 3D. They did say at first they'd do them all, but later said it depends on the box office of TPM.

Every grumpy nerfherder wouldn't have made a peep about the changes if the originals had been provided, in-fact I would have embraced them.

It just seems with every release the enthusiasm for doing a decent job on the revisions diminishes. Darth Vader and Obi-Wan should have had a fantastic CGI battle on the Death Star lasting twenty minutes to rival the prequel duels. The awful close-ups of the Death Star during the trench-run would have been altered as well. Along with a decent Rancor in Return of the Jedi which has to be the biggest omission.

Aparently they will be promoting AOTC 3D at Celebration VI convention. We shall soon see.

This doesn't feel like Star Wars at all to me. It looks fantastic and I'm looking forward to seeing more. I'm sure the Star Wars vibe will come the more I see.

Yeah because Vader shouting "Nooooooo" just changes the whole 12 hour story

I think GL will continue with the 3D releases because to be frank, losing money isn't a problem for him. If every time one of the films get released in 3D it creates just a thousand new fans then thats a thousand extra people out there buying eveything with Star Wars name on it

And as all the changes show us GL is a completist, he will want to see the 3D releases through to the end

I was hoping you'd play as Jango Fett or even Boba Fett. Maybe make it free-roam! In reality it's just Uncharted... IN SPAAAAAACE

I thought it looked like Uncharted as well. That's not a bad thing though!

The TV series should be like this game. Maybe they took influence from the scripts GL has for the show so the game could be a tie in. It's probably not going to be out until late next year early 2014 so the show might go into production by then.

Anybody read the Joe Schreiber Star Wars novels? I hear they are very adult and dark, much like i imagine Star Wars 1313

I, for one, don't mind the changes GL made to the original trilogy. I saw the original theatrical versions when I was a kid back in 1990-91 and I was impressed. But in 1998 I saw the special Editions and I was blown away. the changes made so much more sense and it improved upon the movies. the advanced techonolgy certainly allowed GL to enhance his creative vision.

I understand he went a bit far by removing some KEY "COOOOL" SCENES, which gets on my nerves now and then, (like Hans shooting first scene, Pure classic). But I can't blame him for giving us his DIRECTOR'S CUT. I don't think kids from this age and day would care much for the orignal theatrical versions. they prefer the new cuts and so do I. I just wish some scenes and characters (chewbacca) remained the way they were (untouched).

I own the theatrical cuts and the special editions and I cherish them both as they show me how much passion and craziness a man can get trying to achieve the vision. and I understand the BD further enhances the CGI and other nitpicks.

I am waiting for the price drop so I can lay my hands on the new changes.

PS: I pray that he makes some changes to the PREQUEL trilogy as well before he quits the biz. and remove the abomination that is JAR JAR and those extra boring talkative scenes.
