Yeah, pretty good I'd say.

I really think so called Star Wars fans need to get over themselves with all the Lucas bashing, special edition and prequel bashing.

It's tired now, stop whining like spoilt kids and let those who do enjoy Star Wars in all it's forms enjoy it.

You're not going to change anything, so you might as well just pick your dummy's up and get on with your lives.

I hate these kind of polls. Each series is great on its own merits. Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers started off the sci-fi genre and paved the way for such great science fiction properties like Doctor Who, Star Trek, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, Babylon 5, seaQuest DSV, Stargate (the franchise) ...

What nobody understands is that each series is great on its own merits. When you start comparing one to the other, you start to bring out the haters, detractors and the trolls and then the fights, the heated arguments and the general hate starts to come out.

But, there's no denying that it was such classic shows like Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers, from the 20's and 30's that gave us all of this great science fiction that we enjoy to this very day. Then, without Star Wars, we would have never been introduced to Battlestar Galactica. The one thing that George Lucas had given us, has been two of the greatest film franchises ever ... Star Wars and Indiana Jones. It's just sad that he never had the vision to turn them into mega film franchises. Star Wars has one of the biggest things going for it, but Lucas is too rigid to allow other producers, other writers and other directors to build on Star Wars and start producing more films. Star Wars has the potential to become one of the best franchise films in American culture, but the man's vision is too limited to see beyond his own front yard.

My digistack of the Complete Saga edition has begun to fall apart with some of the "pages" separating from the spine. I was skeptical of the packaging, but I thought it would last more than eleven months (and I've been quite careful). Has this happened to anyone else here?

Just had alook at mine and it's still intact but have only opened it half a dozen times in the last year.

How often have you watched it?

I think the Alien Quadrilogy DVD had similar problems (the top row of mine has come of). I'm sure you've found out by now that they are held together by clear tape. So you should be able to fix it with strong clear Sellotape™ cut to fit the entire spine, after pulling the rest of them apart (or tape over the tape).

It's not something you should have to do though....

Well, about once or twice per movie and the extras (I was about to watch the OT extras to check something).

It shouldn't be that difficult a fix. FOX could have gone for the more expensive Digistak though, like the Superman Warner Bros. went with.
