You guys noticed that 2 out of the 3 were the xbox add-ons. Hmmm...seems to me that the HD-DuD camp was saying that it was sad that the PS3 was considered one of the best players when 2 thirds (according to the article) go the add on. I only know one person who has an HD-DVD player and it was the add-on to the 360 as well LOL. Everyone else went blu or waiting for a clear winner.

As for the pricing, of course it was one of the many reason why Toshiba threw in the towel. You need to make money somewhere and you have investors to answer to as well. You can't sell products constantly at a loss (you shouldn't do that at all) it's always bad business.

Reminds me of an airline here in Canada called JetsGo. They were selling seats on Sundays for 1$. Of course a year later they declared bankruptcy.
