been listening to the local sports talk radio here. lots of callers talking about Denard Robinson can't throw, he can only run, he can't beat you with his arm, we'll keep him contained and if he gets to our secondary he'll be sorry.

i gotta say i am NOT in the same boat as those callers. any team can beat any other team on any given day. i just hope our players aren't listening to this crap and are taking this game seriously.

as i stated in a previous post, this game makes me nervous and i just hope we come away with a win. a BIG win would be awesome, but i'll take an ugly win over a loss any day of the week.

A lot of his throwing issues were related to us trying to force him to be something he wasn't last year. In 2010 he actually did pretty good as far as passing goes, but the change from spread to pro style/west coast offense had him swimming mentally. He'll never be Tom Brady and we were trying to have him sit in the pocket and throw deep, which he isn't great at. He did much better towards the end of the year and from everything I've heard, he's progressing well this off season.

Funny you should say that about Alabama fans because a lot of our fans are the exact opposite. They are chalking this game up as a loss before we even step on the field. Thank God they aren't the ones playing on Saturday. I wanted to fly down for the game so bad, but next week I'm driving up to Michigan for our family reunion and I couldn't swing both trips. Next time family takes a back seat

Fitzgerald Toussaint, Michigan's top running back, pleaded guilty today to a reduced charge of operating while visually impaired. He had originally been charged with DUI after running a red light in July and having a blood-alcohol content of .012. Toussaint has been suspended indefinitely since his arrest. On a preliminary depth chart Toussaint was listed as the starting running back but Brady Hoke has not said if Toussaint will play Saturday against Alabama.

The NCAA has certainly done some things that I disagree with. But I think they were right to hit Penn State hard with the sanctions they imposed. People within the university, athletic department, and football program protected a hid a child molester. For that, they needed to be severely punished. Anyone know the fate of the Joe Paterno statue, plaques, etc. that were removed from Penn St.? I'm wondering if they're just going to destroy, lock away for good or give these things to some 3rd party. Last I heard they were locked away at some unknown location.

Penn State announced that its 2012 uniforms will feature player names on the back of its jerseys for the first time in school history. Once the Nittany Lions run out on the field this weekend, USC football will be the only FBS school to never have had surnames on the back of its jerseys.

By being traditional, USC football has become unique...

They were originaly stored in the basement of the stadium, and have since been moved to an undisclosed storage location.

I'm couldn't care less for South Carolina or Vanderbilt, but hey, college football is college football! (i know there are other games on Thursday, but this is the most "interesting" one to me, and Washington State vs BYU)

one of my biggest dreams as a kid was to get a M-F first shift job so i could spend all day Saturday watching college football and all day Sunday watching the NFL and this year that dream comes true

looking forward to another fun year of college football

as long as Oklahoma isn't in the championship game, i'll be a happy camper
