Do you think they will boxset this with the first three movies? I haven't picked up the trilogy yet so I would most likely lean towards a boxset of all four.

I don't think so.

The thing is, the first three movies are about Jason Bourne. This however, even though contains some traces of Jason, but is based entirely on a new character. But then again I could be wrong and they might release a box set.

Pre-ordered this for the fandango ticket and I'm definitely keeping my order in. In my opinion, the second best behind Ultimatum. Really don't understand the beating it's been receiving.

I wonder if this is what hurt the sales at the box office? When I heard Bourne Legacy I automatically thought of Jason Bourne but I see that's not the case.

I think it only made $2.8 m

Do you mean opening weekend in theaters? The Bourne Legacy made $38,142,825 opening weekend in USA, with $199,675,565 worldwide to date. Very close in theater sales to what The Bourne Identity made. Glad to hear they plan to make another 5th Bourne movie.

Good deal. Now maybe Damon will get of his high horse with only wanting to return with Greengrass and we'll get a team up. Legacy didn't deserve the thrashing it got (as I mentioned above).

I agree. I'm a fan of all the Bourne films but I really liked Legacy. I hope it gets a sequel or two. I came away from the movie thinking a team up with Jason Bourne would be awesome.

Ah, the $2,852,475 is for Sept. 14-16 weekend gross, not opening weekend gross, or domestic gross of $107,794,135.

Here's the Fandango link for domestic gross totals, Bourne Legacy is #8 for Sept. 14-16 box office sales: http://www.fandango.com/boxoffice

EDIT: Scorpion Soldier beat me to it!

Seemed like a twenty minute subplot bloated too a two hour film.

The action was pretty decent though, especially because there was usually a pretty good build up to them...unintentional or not.

Thoroughly liked this movie. Was rather confused at the first half of the movie as scenes were intertwined with scenes from Ultimatum. It was only halfway through did I realise that Legacy's timeframe was happening simultaneously with Ultimatum. I blame the poor/insufficient editing and dialogue but then the movie picked up on it's own merits after Alaska and I was gripped. I understand that the first part of the movie was to establish Renner's character and hadn't realise the extent of the conspiracy of the black ops program (Blackbriar, Threadstone, Outcome, LARX) until reading it on Wikipedia.

But will most likely buy this if there's plenty of special features. I thought Renner and Weiz were perfectly cast and had screen chemistry. A notable movie without Matt Damon as Jason Bourne. Just wished it was more neatly tied at the start. I really had no idea what was going on and thought the movie was slow and plodded along.

this movie was flat and pointless. Cable only for me. Just a warning to all the blind buyers - proceed with caution.

I don't get the hate for the movie. I didn't love it but I didn't think it was horrible. I picked it up yesterday from BBY and just watched it after passing on it in theaters. I think it did its job in establishing a new direction.

Brought back this thread from the dead.

Got the Best Buy Exclusive from eBay and didn't had to pay a ridiculous price.
