If anyones interested the German version doesn't seem to have the tshirt, poster, art cards, or flimsy art book excerpt. Instead it looks like it just has the movies separated into their respective book style packaging, or maybe it has a book as an extra, it's hard to tell and none of the listings i found mentioned it clearly.

Aren't there more prequels to come? I haven't seen it yet but I thought the "evolution" towards the Alien films has yet to be seen.

ie Like releasing Ep1,4,5,6 before Ep2 and 3 were made.

We need more sci-fi films with space pirates/mercenaries being total b**tards and doing anything to make money etc!

Hate the way Resurrection killed off the chief pirate pretty early on too, he was like an evil Han Solo

Ridley did say there would have to be 2 sequels to finally connect up with Alien, so there would be a Prometheus trilogy and the Alien quadrilogy.

I like to think that the crew in Resurrection is Captain Mal Reynolds and the crew of Serenity!

The original quote was that Prometheus has two sequels inbuilt with one being where the Prometheus story continues and the other being Alien.

Looks to me like the set contains 3 digistacks that fit 3 discs each so...

Digibook 1
- Alien
- Aliens
- Alien3

Digibook 2
- Alien Resurrection
- Alien Anthology Disc 1
- Alien Anthology Disc 2

Digibook 3
- Prometheus 3D
- Prometheus 2D
- Prometheus Bonus Disc

Those are digistacks but i digress.

Pretty pointless release innit? We know there's gonna be sequels to Prometheus, so... Plus i already got Alien Quadrilogy, i hope they make us buy it twice just to get all the Prometheus films in one box set.

Germany also have a limited edition with Alien and Avatar, which doesn't make any sense really, plus it's 300 Euros.

Along with a 9 disc Prometheus to Alien: The Evolution Limited Edition and a 5 disc set.

Confusing!

I'm surprised that the Space Jockey's phallic shaped gun isn't in the more upright position....

I can't wait to see the film though as I missed the theatrical release.

Unless I've missed something saying that AVATAR takes place within the the ALIEN universe, that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

I guess they could spin it and say that Alien and Avatar take place in the same sandbox but it is a bit weird.

They know this fine well, which is why it seems they've made the Prometheus bonus disc exclusive to this set in the UK

I would be very surprised if the bonus disc was exclusive to this set when it's being included in the standard releases in other countries, it's possible the 2D release might miss it but I am certain it will be included with the 3D release.

Very tempted to just get the French super duper release though which has everything and is out the week before the UK BD.

So,... the true measure of a future film fan is going to be whether you own the entire 7/8/9? box-sets of international versions of the same film. Because you can't get enough VAMMED material.

I love how the industry is destroying its own fan-base into sort of drug addicts. But I'm just a cynical old fubar raver

ps: You got vammed.

pps: Did you vammed?
