It came out in France but G1 and Amazon.de via G2 i believe. I'd actually love to see something fresh but not sure what they could do that would blow other artworks out the water tbh

There is definitely one in full colour somewhere. I've seen it.

That is not a guarantee that it won't be released.
I am sure Play.com is doing a lot of research before releasing a new steelbook. That's why they releases Iron Man and Terminator (both Play.com Exclusives).

I mean, a lot of steelbooks are classified as ''... exclusive'' or ''limited edition'', but the same steelbooks are released in different countries by different retailers.

I opened this thread because I am planning to buy one for my OWN COLLECTION. It is a really expensive steelbook, so I'd like to know what you think about this. I don't want to spend hundreds of € just to find out Play.com will release a steelbook with the same artwork.

I will only buy this steelbook because of the artwork. I don't care about the movie itself tbh. Call me stupid .

OK - that's stupid. Especially for something that's not cheap. What's the point? Still, each to their own. it's your money, I just don't see the point myself.

Still, so what if Play.com release one? If you like the one that's on offer and are happy with the price then buy it. It doesn't - or shouldn't - matter what happens past that point. All that matters is that you are happy with your purchase and your collection.

If it helps put your mind at ease then Play.com haven't done a Warners exclusive steelbook range - or, as far as I know, even an individual WB exclusive steelbook - so stop fretting that a website might one day consider to start doing a range for a studio that might include a film (that you don't care about) that might but almost certainly won't have artwork that you like that is already available. Just buy the damn thing if you want it!!

I want to buy that. Can't remember if the original was completely clean artwork but a re-release that's completely clean would be amazing

Have Play released any WB exclusives?

The forthcoming wave inc. Blade Runner and Heat etc. are nationwide releases, so if Sucker-Punch is to get the steelbook treatment it'll more likely be the same at a guess.

Prestige is a crap transfer by Warner in the UK. I want a B region disc of this movie that has the USA transfer on it done by Buena Vista.

I probably won't win any votes for this, but Death note would make a really impressive steelbook. Since it has the 2 Death gods, L, Light and Apples

Ghibli films numbered correctly in steelbook would be awesome. Play.com should get onto those Canal guys straight away about this.
