Have an old school receiver (non-HDMI) and want Lossless audio??

Audyssey 2EQ on the Onkyo SR505 is the bottom end implementation. You'll find much better versions nowadays. Plus other improved processing features. So, yes, I'd recommend going that route. (btw, I still use analog on an AVR I bought in 2005 right before HDMI took off. But, I'd make the switch if I were in the market for a new processor.)
