What's the point of owning it in HD if the picture quality is crap?

It's not crap, the lines and colors are very sharp!

True the lines that have not been blown out do to heightened contrast which makes white and super white equal just white. and When the colors are correct they are pretty good except when the colors are just plain wrong like the missing undershirt on the fairy good mother in a few scenes which has been mis collored

Thanks,
T

Yep. And I'm sorry, but it's just unacceptable. I'm holding off on buying this.

It is unacceptable, but I don't think I'm going to hold off, I have no format to watch it on, and so I guess I'm going to just hope for a replacement disc.

2 things.

1.) replacement disk not likely since Disney doesn't seem to be as perceptive to the problem as we are (This is not the first time this Master has been used for a mass release of this film)

2.) I am still going to pick this one up because although there are problems with this transfer it is likely the best we are going to get for a long time and the problems with this when the film is in motion is not as noticable (I know see it in motion excuse) as I had thought they would be from the trailers and Blu-ray clips we have seen so far it still looks pretty good. Plus my dog got a hold of my old VHS copy and I seem to have misplaced my DVD copy

Thanks,
T
