Parcelforce just brought 5 x Avengers 3-D (+2-D) that I picked up for £9.00 each for group buy...no sign of my steelbook, Avengers 2D (Amaray) turned up on Saturday....hopefully later for my HMV order....

Tuesday send out = arrived this morning
Wednesday send out = arrived this morning

so basically it didn't matter which day they got sent

got to say liking the slight (what you call it) stick out slightly front

got mine about an hour ago in the post. its a nice looking steelbook, not the best but still nice. shame its only 1 disc, has been cut and is missing extras. its really a 2 star release for a 5 star film. disney uk can suck it

Got a knock on the door from an old man asking if this was mine regarding a hmv box! It was posted a out 4 streets away bloody useless posited! Looks not ba alot of glue on the packaging! Really disappointed with the lack of extras though!

i disagree about the look, i think it looks amazing but agree with the rest. And we didnt even get DMR points with it. I'll need to email Disney.

Avengers Assemble just came , normally with my Play.com steelbook boxes they don't fit through letterbox don't fit - so he knocks....this was slimline HMV packaging, after a thud on carpet I ran to check.... thankfully it looks okay...

I spent years making sure my DVDs were uncut versions, importing to get around cut headbutts and butterly knives in the UK and now, finally when the BBFC seem to be more relaxed at last and the Rules have changed so that uncut DVD/BDs can be released of movies trimmed for the cinema to get a certain rating, Disney make the version we have (which is unique to the UK because of the title change so would require a different pressing to Europe anyway) the cut one.

Even if I don't actually mind about the actual cut (as you say, it's relatively small it and of itself), I am furious about the shoddy treatment the UK release has received from a company that doesn't seem to care (removing the commentary because it "wasn't ready in time", rather than delaying the release a week) and is palpably negligent or lazy (slapping the UK titles on the German, cut version of the film) assuming the buyers won't care which copy they decided to give us.

And yet you still bought it? I'm not trying to have an argument, believe me, I'd be the last person to want to, it's a 2 second cut that doesn't take away anything from the film (extras aside) it's really not a big deal
