Is this a good blind buy? I've been waiting for a price drop.

Lady Snowblood/Lady Snowblood: Love Song of Vengeance Blu-ray REVIEW

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I thought I'd also mention the other Meiko Kaji films I like. The Ginza Butterfly films in particular. Considering that the rights for one of the Scorpion films in the U.S. are a bit problematic, a Blu-ray box set is probably unlikely. Hopefully, Synapse would bring the Ginza films to Blu-ray soon. Terrific entertainment

I don't know about the UK rights, but do you know if there's a chance of a UK release like this one, for them?

The contrast certainly looks quite dull, but it seems quite consistent with other thematically-close movies contemporary to this ones.
Also, it seems that both movies are free from the horrendous compression Arrow releases can show, but which is usually linked to poor video bitrate (which is not the case here).

I don't know anything, Coop. Hopefully, these will sell well so that Arrow could do something.

These films will benefit both in the video and audio departments. They have tremendous soundtracks with some top tracks. (Meiko Kaji actually sings some of the songs).

I'd say, if you want the Scoprion films, you should probably pick up the box set, and the fourth film that is sold separately.

Thanks. I'd really really love to see those four films upgraded, as I love each one of them in the series. The DVDs aren't of the best quality, although I do appreciate that they at least have DVD editions here in the first place.

Me too. I haven't seen either one, so I'm really looking forward to them.

Thanks. I wonder how many people are buying this for the same reason im getting this. I read that these 2 movies were a huge inspiration to Tarantino in making Kill Bill. This is a blind buy for me, ive only seen trailers for these on you tube.

I'm buying it because I like these types of films.. Tarantino being 'inspired' by it doesn't make me want it any more, in fact, his name being plastered on the occasional Asian film (stickers that say "inspired kill bill" or "presented by Tarantino") actually put me off... I hate how some film makers 'claim' films.

Sort of how like Gangbangers and Hip Hop stars claim 'Scarface'.

Can someone tell me if The Bird With the Crystal Plumage is still available in the old edition with the white sleeve etc?
Is it this edition that is available on Zavvi?
Did someone make a list of the oop editions of Arrow Video (with all the titles that were replaced)?

Thanks a lot for your help!
