I disagree, I have a 40 inch Sony V3000 and I love it, I had an opportunity to buy the 50 inch SXRD but decided to take the flat because I got a great deal on it. $1100 bucks, not too shabby for that TV.

But the LCD will blow the projection away, not to mention if its the WEGA and not the SXRD then its only a midgrade Sony. Flat panel picture kills rear projection if you compare the same level of TV from the same company...in other words the V series is head and shoulders above the WEGA series and they are both midgrade from Sony.

But its up to you, if you want bigger get the WEGA, if you want better, get the LCD. Im sure youll love it either way! Happy shopping
